I bet they have pictures of him inside the building. So much for his first amendment activities defense.

I wonder how much Tucker gets “under the table” from big companies.

I wonder what Ryan Kelley thinks his chances are because when you go to his campaign page not only does it have the campaign donation button but it has the legal defense donation button at the bottom of the page.

Ryan’s Personal
Legal Defense Fund!

Donations to GiveSendGo go directly to support Ryan’s legal defense.
They do not go towards his campaign for Michigan governor.

This is going to be the GOP standard practice of having a campaign and legal defense, two for one webpage from now on.

Here’s the Statement of Facts that apparently was used to support the criminal Complaint.

It looks like they have photos of him inside the fences, on the steps, and up on the scaffolding. But nothing from inside the building.

No.

(This answer concludes another episode of simple answers to simple questions.)

But in all seriousness - thoughts of this brand of candidacy entered my fever dreams a few years ago. With the rise of The Lincoln Project, the schism between sane and insane Republicans has grown into a civil war. The crazies will stick with TFG and new candidates seem to follow the pattern of outdoing TFG’s bluster and ridiculousness to meet the expectations of their rabid constituency.

The results of the party’s evolution create a raft of increasingly nuttier candidates. My fever dream ended with a majority of sane people just voting for the sane and, otherwise, Democratic candidate.

ETA: Case in point …

…he did not join the mob of Trump supporters who stormed the building and only engaged in “First Amendment activity” on the day of the insurrection.

I guess I’m old school. Because it sure as h*ll did not look like people peacefully assembling. But who knows?

I find it truly sad that the Republican party cannot find any candidates who are not currently under indictment.
