Google on Tuesday updated Google News, its free aggregator of breaking news articles from around the Web, specifically so that it recognizes users of tablets and optimizes itself accordingly. The new Google News view for tablets includes support for horizontal swiping gestures to access different sections, tapping for “explore in depth” information about news topics. The new view also includes larger spaces between articles or “more breathing room,” as Google’s project manager of news Mayuresh Saoji wrote in an official blog post.
