Giuliani’s Interactions With Arrested Pals Under Investigation

It’s a possibility, but there hasn’t been any solid reporting as to when they purchased the tickets. A couple of rumors that they were same-day purchases, which would be rather suspicious. But even there, wouldn’t be proof of anything (the feds could have moved up a pick-up when alerted that they had just had their passports scanned at the airport).

Need more details before going down this rabbit hole.

Trump will send two fighter jet squadrons, a unit of other support aircraft, two Patriot missile batteries and one anti-missile defense system known as THAAD. U.S. officials said this new deployment involves about 1,800 service members. Earlier this month, the U.S. sent one fighter jet squadron, which usually includes between 18 and 24 aircraft.

Last month, the U.S. sent one Patriot missile battery and four ground-based radar systems, with about 200 troops. The three deployments involve a total of 3,000 troops, and they are in addition to a broad array of ships and other military support that was sent earlier this year to counter Iranian threats against allied and commercial ships in the Persian Gulf region.

Does THAT tell you anything about what he plans on doing next to distract from his inevitable impeachment?

Can you say: WAR WITH IRAN (sure you can.)

…But, to avoid “endless wars”, we had to pull out 50-100 SF guys that were the barrier between Turkey and genocide in Syria…

Born in Newark, New Jersey, he served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. He then worked various law enforcement jobs in the United States and abroad, joining the New York Police Department (NYPD) in 1986. He is perhaps best known for his 1998-2000 tenure as commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction and his 2000-01 tenure as New York City Police Commissioner, during which he oversaw the police response to the September 11 attacks.
After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, President George W. Bush appointed Kerik as the interior minister of the Iraqi Coalition Provisional Authority. In 2004, Bush nominated Kerik to lead the Department of Homeland Security. However, Kerik soon withdrew his candidacy, explaining that he had employed an illegal immigrant as a nanny. His admission touched off state and federal investigations as a result of which in 2006 Kerik pleaded guilty in Bronx Supreme Court to two unrelated ethics violations (unclassified misdemeanors) and was ordered to pay $221,000 in fines. Kerik then pleaded guilty in 2009 in the Southern District of New York to eight federal charges, including tax fraud and false statements, and on February 18, 2010, was sentenced to four years in federal prison.
He was discharged from federal custody on October 15, 2013, and after serving five months’ home confinement, his supervised release concluded in October 2016.

Possibly, but wouldn’t it be lovely if SDNY already has enough info like wiretaps and other intercepts to prosecute a case against Rudy and the rest of the gang, without needing Rudy to sing for a plea deal? It would be great to see Rudy not being able to play the system like the genius he thinks he is. Just going down for hard time with no deals.

Agreed but he knows how these things work, he will go for whatever deal he can get.

I am afraid you may be right.

I have been expecting a Wag the Dog operation, this is likely it.

You’re probably right, that was wishful thinking. The other scenario is that he just clams up and waits for the pardon.

Meh, don’t over-presume, he’s not that smart (if he were smarter, for example, would have left Syria in the relatively peaceful stalemate while getting ready to attack Iran. Never wise to allow too many fronts opened up at once).

And doubt, even if we did go to war, that it would help Trump much at all.

Look how much skepticism appeared after the oil refinery attacks, world-wide. It’s not like the good old days when we said something and the world nodded their heads along with us.

It is my hope that Trump skips out with some kind of (bad) deal, has no pardon ability and leaves all his sycophants languishing in jail. But, like you say, wishful thinking.

Rudy didn’t fly yesterday because he’s scared that there’s a sealed indictment that’s going to trigger his getting picked up when his passport is swiped at the airport.

Not saying Spankee is smart enough but some of his pet Nazis are (looking at you, Stephen Miller).

Remember how the movie started? It was the henchmen who came up with the idea, not the philandering prez who did…
