Russia probably should have gradually moved away from the communist era by keeping some state owned enterprises and allowing employee ownership for others instead of allowing the oligarchs gobble up most everything.
Putin is also one of the biggest anti-communists you’ll ever meet. Ya see, Rudy, Russia isn’t communist. Technically, it never really was but it certainly isn’t now, under Putin. It’s a strong man state with small ‘f’ fascist leanings.
So, saying you’re anti-communist ain’t a defense. Being anti- (or pro- or neutral-) communist has absolutely nothing to do with Russia or with your dealings with Russian spies.
