Giuliani Dissembles And Defends 2020 Plots As He Fights To Keep DC Law License

Forced retirement at 78 isn’t always the saddest option.

According to the article as part of his defense to not losing his license to practice law, Giuliani was “professing ignorance of Pennsylvania election law”.

Is there a reason I should think this is a winning strategy?

Or am I misreading the paragraphs below?

Both members of the hearing board and Hamilton Fox, the disciplinary counsel, repeatedly pleaded for Giuliani to stop pontificating and to only answer the questions at hand. But nevertheless, Giuliani persisted, claiming that what he did was righteous, professing ignorance of Pennsylvania election law, and accusing those present of bias.

“My role was to show how Pennsylvania involved the same set of eight or ten suspicious actions — illegal actions, whatever you want to call them, irregular actions — that could not be the product of accident,” Giuliani said. He added that he believed he had uncovered enough circumstantial evidence of fraud in Pennsylvania to suggest a “conspiracy.”

That’s two ways…

Also you forgot the third put in ordered death by gravity

With the answers he provided, the bar can recommend disbarment due to mental incompetency if they are kind, or just agree with disciplinary counsel and be done. That will take all of us out of our misery having that clown in our profession.

I haven’t watched any video, but I understand at some point Giuliani discovers he’s wearing two watches on the same wrist.

I’m hoping Rudy rots in jail until his dying day. He deserves nothing less.

It keeps coming back to this kind of argument on the Trump side of the world.

It’s like rich white guys don’t understand that when you break the law the cops come after you, and the figurative high speed car chase that’s been going on for years isn’t about persecution, it’s about upholding the law.

Or to put it a way conservatives might understand “if you didn’t do anything then why are you trying to avoid answering questions?”

The whole notion that Rudy was “America’s Mayor” and all of the hype about him surrounding the 9/11 events was all window dressing laced with understandable hopeful thinking. To that extent, Rudy’s fall was not that far as he was a phony at the outset. The whole situation now can only be characterized as being pathetic.

This is a bar disciplinary proceeding so it only involves his ability to practice law. If the DC bar disbars him, he is disbarred everywhere. The criminal actions for subverting the constitution (part of the attorney’s oath BTW) are still on the table but will be in a different forum.

Just feeling nostalgic… Trump attorney… only the best… Rudy… nobody’s ever seen anything like it… step this way… only 5¢ …

I think Herschel also falls into that same bizarre form of Republican entertainment – build them up, then discard them like Reagan.

Only ghoulsie can turn a simple law license hearing into 20-to-life.

Rooody gonna bluster and bs righteously for maga because he knows there are no right answers for his actions.

The gaslighting thus perpetuates itself. Once you’re in deep enough with the lies it’s too late to stop. He’s got a reputation to uphold after all. /s
