For Mr. Giuliani to comment about backstabbing and avoid the mention of his boss, who has turned on anyone who doesn’t bend over, is rich beyond belief. Mr. G. is simply not worth listening to…if he ever was.

I doubt this denial thing is going to work. Bolton is a lot of things, just about none of them good but he’s not known to be a liar. There’s nothing in his words of benefit to Bolton himself but there’s a shit load of reasons for the Trumpers to lie. At this point it just boils down to the fact that 40% of America doesn’t give a shit what Trump does or what credible people say about him. If you give them an absurd lie that’s enough to comfort them.

Well, Bolton may well have expressed his disapproval of the Ukraine extortion scam without having done so to Rudiani himself. Mulvaney may have made sure to put a wall between the two so it wouldn’t have happened.
But, this only further necessitates that all three men testify to resolve these seemingly conflicting versions of the core facts. No self-respecting jurist would want to render a verdict without it, and no self-respecting judge would allow it.
Any verdict, whether to convict and remove or to acquit, absolutely requires their testimony, and any verdict rendered without it will be morally illegitimate and seen that way by a majority of voters, and cost more than a few Repubs dearly in November.
And shame on Roberts if he doesn’t compel their testimony. He appears to want to have as little to do with all this as possible. Sorry, it’s his job, and he can’t duck this without it being a huge shit stain on his already forever tarnished legacy, as a key enabler of the destruction of real democracy.

What part of Giuliani being a private citizen and personal attorney to tRump, making money off of this Ukrainian deal with mobsters; being an unelected punk-ass bitch to tRump’s schemes to get himself reelected by whatever corrupt means necessary; has never been an employee of the Federal government let alone any foreign policy team of bureaucrats that is paid by the American taxpayer; or that the entire Republican party has chosen to take a blind eye to rather than consider the legal ramifications of his actions on behalf of tRump, don’t they get???
When does this asshole get an indictment, an ankle bracelet or even being held in a cell until his trial? Take away his fucking passport already, ffs. He’s still flying to and from Ukraine pulling this shit. The crime is still in progress. But yeah, no witnesses because a trial under MoscowMitch doesn’t require what every other average American expects.
And again, rather than take Mitch on in the press for corrupting the Senate trial by insisting no witnesses and everyone toe the line, the media would rather discuss Mitch’s political strategery, and not his own abuse of power as a partisan piece of shit trying to bury this entire episode no matter the facts or the consequences for our country.
