Giroir: ‘DPA Isn’t A Magic Tool’ For Testing Delays

I’m getting a bit tired of watching rational but cowardly people defending the policies of an irrational moron with no heart and no soul. It can’t be done. And folks like Giroir bring great shame to themselves trying to defend the indefensible.

Giroir said. “We want more, we want better, we want quicker.”

Ok, so do it. Just about every other country without an idiot leader has been able to do it successfully and with ease, what’s stopping us if it isn’t Trump?

“DPA isn’t a magic tool”

Exactly. If it were magic then we’d understand because Giroir hasn’t been to Hogwarts or whatever magic school is required to use it, but it’s not magic, it’s a logistics and production tool that a f—ing admiral should be able to use to increase testing, PPE availability, and to stop this monster of a President/virus from killing more people.

And not only that he “wanted” it, but that he actually “said to my people, ‘Slow the testing down, please.’”

Well, they’ve only had 6 months to do the one, most important thing. The president is not asleep at he switch. The president is ignoring the switch, regardless of the train traffic.

… and “grabbing” things that don’t belong to him.

“Every time I’ve met with the President, he’s been listening to all the data, he assesses that, he understands it.”

Can you imagine members of any other administration having to stress the fact that their boss listens and understands the data? Shouldn’t it be a prerequisite? I know, I know, good old times…

I only watched this short clip, but I counted two lies in Giroir’s response.

  1. He said there were six different premises embedded in Jake Tapper’s question. This may seem like a trifling quibble, but it is not. Tapper laid out the case for testing very clearly, with the authority that comes from having done your homework and knowing exactly what the issues and justifications are. Giroir immediately lied and said there were six different premises to “unpack.” He could not possibly have counted them as he was listening, because he was too busy mentally preparing himself to vomit up his six prepared talking points on testing. What Giroir did manage to do is make it harder for people following the exchange to remember the precisely phrased question Tapper had just put to him. That’s manipulative and deceptive, and undermines his authority as an Administration representative.

  2. He denied that anyone is afraid to tell Trump the truth about testing for fear of upsetting him and making him irrationally lash out, as he does every day on Twitter and most recently with Mike Wallace. That is a lie. It’s a big lie. It’s the entire issue with Trump. He’s delusional, fragile, irrational, impulsive, and dangerous. He is mentally and emotionally, intellectually and characterologically, morally and every other way, unfit to perform the obligations of the presidency.

As for testing what I’ve been reading is that the FDA needs to certify, or give an exemption to labs to run the tests, if they are not the big testing labs like Quest Diagnotics. So a governor recently talked about how many weeks he was working on the FDA to get them the allow some university labs in his state to start doing testing.
Trump’s responsibilities were to make sure that labs, hospitals, and others had the equipment they needed to do what needed to be done. The DPA should have been envoked to make sure that US manufactures were pumping out PPE, and testing supplies. But in stead Trump made meat packing facilities “essential” businesses so they could sell more meat products to China, all the while defanging OSHA and their safety regulations.

Let’s face it. We are stuck with these Trump ass kissers and normalized incompetence among government officials until Biden is sworn in.

And then he’s going to have to fight the Republicans in the Senate to get anything done. Voters need to be advised/threatened with the truth before they split their ballots. Biden needs both houses of Congress.

If not, the GOP is going to kill everyone’s grandmother. And your kids are going to lose probably two to three years of critical instruction/development because the Republican Party will drag their feet/outright fight any medical mandates.

Our citizens must give up their socially conservative wedge issue addiction and cure themselves. We can’t live this way any longer.

How on earth did you do that?! And in the right order for extra points! We’ve never see anyone do that before, ever! I guess you’re some kind of genius!

Does anyone have any updates on Herman Cain? Someone at Political Wire said he was still in the hospital after being admitted 25 days ago.

Also, is Wilbur Ross in the hospital, too? Why?

This guy isn’t a magic tool either, just a tool. But his boss is a tragic fool.

Except for meat processing plants:

Delays in testing are apparently fine, but not getting bacon or a burger on time is the apocalypse.

“President continues to baselessly blame the rise of coronavirus cases on increased testing”

This is so damn lunatic. It is a Schrodinger’s cat explanation.

He doesn’t even understand that more testing would reduce the percentage of positives, since so many people get tested because they have the symptoms. Nationwide testing would both reduce the spread and the numbers would look better. He is truly as stupid as we think he is.

What control there is has been up to the states. Trump controls nothing and doesn’t want to.

That quote stood out to me as well. Like a steaming pile of a horse’s best work stands out on a gravel road.

People from the admin and even one who’s an admiral come to the Sunday gabfest shows armed with talking points and data prepared by WH minions and they’ll be damned if they’re going to be sidetracked into telling the truth.
