Get Ready for a Conspiracy Theory-Laced Speech From Trump Tonight

Hello, and welcome back to The Franchise! We’re gearing up for President Trump’s address tonight, which has been billed as a speech focused on this administration’s absolute favorite topic: election security — or more specifically, Trump’s gloss on “election security.” That includes, as we know all too well, his baseless claims about how infested with…

Trump is expected to speak about declassified intelligence materials on both voting machines and alleged foreign interference efforts, likely related to the 2020 election. Reuters and other outlets are reporting that some of his claims may be about China.

And the SAVE act would stop that HOW???/
In a nutshell trump will say that the election his administration ran was corrupted by foreigners and HE DID NOTHING TO STOP IT

Because of an ill-defined voting influence effort by China in 2020, the result of the Georgia Senate election needs to be nullified? Dude is on hallucinogens.

In 2020 people in China called him Chuan Jianguo 川建国, or “Build-the-Country Trump,” because they felt he was aiding China’s growing global status. (Jianguo is actually a name that was popular several decades ago and I knew some party members with that as their given name)

If China interfered with elections it would not be against Trump – especially after he didn’t lift a finger to prevent the de facto takeover of Hong Kong. If anything, it is Jodi Ernst and Susan Collins whose election should be nullified.

You’re expecting people to connect the dots? I like your optimism.

These court rulings are why the president is going to talk about foreign interference in the 2020 election so that he can try to shoehorn “national security” laws into the running of elections.

So how would Voter ID Help that???

I am not sure which media organization will carry Donnie’s “speech,” but I can only imagine that it will be him parading more of his infantile, delusional, hateful, and self-serving claims. He is descending into madness, as in “being angry” and losing his grip on reality (if it every really existed).

“A conspiracy-laced speech” is much too generous. It will be a rambling, often incoherent, delusionally grievance-soaked, massively narcissistic, and mostly detached from reality rant.

Same old song from Trump. John Solomon and Bill Pulte do not qualify as experts in election fraud nor anything related to the 2020 election. Fox paid mightily to settle the Dominion lawsuit. Is this where things are headed again?

Oh darn. I’ll be watching baseball on ESPN. Let me know if he isn’t a bellicose blathering idiot.

it wouldn’t but it’s a demand that a lot of people respond to…ID is easy to understand until you explain the complexities of actually getting it for a large number of people. The SAVE Act in particular has the proof of citizenship requirement that hinders a whole lot of people including white married women who changed their names upon marriage. Birth Certificates don’t show it and at least my marriage certificate only shows that one person married another person, not that there was a name change.

Will there be a live blog for the speech?

I’m a glass half full kind of guy. I view this as the last act of a desperate man who knows the GOP will be seriously f*cked in the mid-term elections.

The good news is his obsession with the 2020 election is balanced with his belief in the great replacement conspiracy. This has led him to do stupid sh*t that will hurt the very candidates he needs to win in order for the Republicans to remain in control of the House and Senate (here’s looking at you Susan).

Do not beware for what he says, beware what he does. If it’s naught more than words then let him blow as hard as he desires. His exhalations are likely to depress only the turnout of his cultists.

And now for something not completely different:

That’s gonna go great for him.
