Reporting what talking heads say on Cable doesn’t do anything more than spread the nonsense. A full article repeating the mind numbing analysis of Rivera and Hannity simply spreads the President’s message. Trump did something impeachable, but these chuckleheads never mention that. For them it is all about deflection and whataboutism.

Lol - I remember being dumbstruck when Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter etc started trying to rehabilitate Joseph McCarthy a while back (“there really was a bunch of communist American citizens and residents in and out of government trying to take down the country and the damn liberals derailed the search for “the Truth”).
So I shouldn’t be surprised when Geraldo tries to compartmentalize the Watergate break ins in order to clear Nixon. “if he had just refrained from covering up the break ins, he wouldn’t have been a corrupt, paranoid, dirty dealer in everything else.”

I’m not sure where you live, but I live in the reddest part of Georgia. I think it is pretty important to understand how Trump can maintain an approval rating that doesn’t dip below 40% no matter what he does. There are troves of Americans who only get their news from the Fox echo chamber. The same way there are troves of leftist who only frequent news sources that reinforce what they believe.
My obviously biased opinion is that I think the pundit class on the right lies and misinforms in a way that the left doesn’t. It is more than political spin - it is a willingness to outright lie and misinform.
Either way, we need to know why folks on the right are thinking and believing what they are believing and doing what they are doing.
I’ll use a tangential example of why it is important to pay attention to Fox etc- in 2016, anyone paying attention to Fox News would have known that Trumps team was seriously trying to expand the map through the rust belt. But 99% of the left was dumbfounded on Election Day because the news sources we on the left like to watch did not take those efforts seriously in any way.

Well there is a significant difference between Nixon and Trump. Nixon had a good deal of political savvy and actually did some good for the country as President (EPA, relations with China). He just got carried away by his over-enthusiastic re-election campaign and couldn’t put the cat back in the bag.
Trump, on the other hand, has no political skills and thinks that being President makes him capo di tutti capi.

I think you could’ve picked a better analogy. Your stripper is a human tragedy and a victim of the culture that created her, and your recounting of the heckling as if she deserved it is quite literally astonishing in 2019. She deserved sympathy.
