This is basically an expensive ânothing burgerâ to keep Trump and his party happy. The margin is so large, and the process will be under such heavy scrutiny, it is difficult to see the possibility for much ratf*cking by republicans.

Personally, I hope they recount it 50 times a year for the next four years, and every time they finish counting, use banner headlines to announce Biden kicking Trumpâs ass once more, and to celebrate how amazing Stacey Abrams is.

If GA was going to an automatic recount because of the margin anyway, thatâs one thing, but a recount is not the tally itself, and Biden has clearly won the vote tally â so why hasnât GA been called for Biden? There is ZERO chance that Trump has won the vote tally, and virtually zero chance that a recount changes 15,000 votes. A recount is fine, but why hasnât the state been called the first time? Why give in to the GOP narrative and leave a vacuum?

The fear mongering is needed to motivate the base to vote in January. It wonât stop. The purpose is not really the presidential election (Biden doesnât need Georgia to win). Also helps the R fundraising (particularly the grifting). Hope Dâs have a good ground game.

Folks, some logic please. They counted once, and Biden won. Iâm not at all sure it makes much sense to fret about ratfucking and see it as this big scheme to steal Georgia. Itâs a recount to pacify a big baby and his in-state minions. Recounts really donât change vote totals much. The overarching question Iâd like answered myself is what kind of pressure can the good guys, including our honored selves, bring on the administration and GOP to acknowledge fucking reality and get this transition going. Weâve got a pandemic to deal with. Hospitals are reaching capacity now.
