I’ve come to a conclusion about Republican concerns over sex-trafficking and stuff. They will happily vote for a real sex trafficking baby killer, but are solidly against the conjectured, hypothetical ones. The reason why Democrat Baby eaters are bad is not because of what the do. It’s because the discussion includes science-y words, like conjecture and hypothetical.

On the one side is Matt Gaetz, the Republican congressman and Trump wannabe who is reportedly under federal investigation for potential sex crimes. On the other is Democrat Rebekah Jones, a former state geographer and Gov. Ron DeSantis antagonist who is currently facing a state criminal charge after alleging that she came under pressure from superiors to fudge COVID-19 data.

Jones has an Avenatti-ish talent for self-promotion; but probably also a lot of his dubious-to-bad qualities as well.
Nobody but Avenatti could have assisted Stormy Daniels in successfully humiliating tfg (and wife#3). Maybe only Jones has a chance at landing political punches on Matt Gaetz.
I may regret it eventually but right now I’m definitely excited for the show.

Never mind that she faces charges from the fascist De Santis regime. She will be defined as a lawbreaker.

The perpetual dichotomy is energizing for the Right and enervating for others. The former draw strength from the very concept of opposition. The latter draw strength from the very concept of cooperation.
The way we embraced Liz Cheney was born of necessity, to be sure…but a great deal of it came from gratitude and a desire to work together.
That is why I have for a great many years championed the idea of righteous anger on our part…not as a vehicle of hate, but of self-regard…of an adult stand for not taking abuse any more.
And, believe me, the Right has been abusing us for decades.
