Had the question read ‘if a republican candidate is accused of ___ is it major problem?’ the republican responses would have been ‘hell no’ to every scenario mentioned.
It was the second time Cawthorn tried to bring a gun to an airport.

TPM didn’t mention that Maddy is also is being investigated for insider trading. How did they miss that story?
Repost:
Apparently there are a lot of things that are concerning. But apparently giving Trump back his bullhorn at a precarious time in world affairs is not one of them.
That poll probably explains this…
Well, you know, he’s an incredibly shitty person, and there are only so many hours in the day.
They reported the story yesterday.
Why Does Cawthorn Keep Bringing Guns And Knives To Restricted Areas?
It’s performative: he got elected over Mark Meadows’ anointed candidate because he was the most extreme candidate in claiming that the 2nd Amendment Gundamentalist position, means that one should be able to carry a weapon anywhere, anytime, with no regulation (“Well, that’s what “shall not infringe” means, libtard”).
That, and his wheelchair (which he claimed kept him from the Naval Academy) and wild tRumpism got him elected here.
His base, the basest of bases, loves this crap.
I dunno. The Twitter suspension has probably helped Trump and his image rehabilitation more than the regular reminders of just how insane he really is would have.
Memories fade, may not be bad for people to be seeing the daily dose of batshit crazy.
I like the comment about DonBoyJr in Toledo: “that’s not a rally, that’s a timeshare seminar”
Delta offered flight attendants 50% of their regular hourly wage during boarding, not full pay. Boarding is defined as 40 minutes prior to door close.
FYI Guess he has nothing to do

Speaking of trying stupid shit against a reporter. Wonder who got his attention that this might have been a bad idea?
Hell, pile on 3 more years of world turmoil, followed by the idiots that vote in this country, and things are going to get real interesting once Trump is back in the Oval Office.
Toyota has a market capitalization of $237 B. GM and Ford are in the neighborhood of $60 B. Tesla’s market capitalization is $906 B (as of yesterday, it was just above $1 T on Monday prior to the crash). Tesla’s PE ratio is running around 119, Toyota’s is less than 10. What does Tesla do that it makes it worth more than two Toyotas, with PE ratio more than 10 times higher?
By every conventional measure of business performance, Tesla appears to be grossly overvalued. Yesterday’s plunge suggests that what Tesla has is Elon Musk, and its price is going to be tied to Elon Musk and his behavior. It has no place in my retirement portfolio.
There is no reported investigation, just some speculative journalism.
Jon Lovett has made this exact point based on Trump’s polling, which has slightly improved since all the excitement 15 months ago. It continues to be challenging for a lot of people to understand but he does not actually always benefit via some supernatural power from people knowing what he says and does. People seem to disapprove, mostly. Weird.
This story is big in India and some of the economic papers. I bet CNN or someone else will pick it up eventually.
Especially since TFG is mostly focused on Republican infighting these days.
That’s been going around. Josh Marshall was mocking it just the other day. Evidently he can pay for rockets but he’s not a rocket surgeon.
