“Freedom” is a go to talking point for the GOP and has been since Reagan employed the junk term. “tax cuts”, “socialism”, “jobs jobs jobs”, " there’s no scientific consensus"…and Pence is using WAY too much of it tonight. We’ve been hearing that shit for years now. We don’t hear it anymore. Like living in an NYC apartment by the train tracks…we don’t hear that shit anymore. Harris is doing a good job by making original statements. We hear that.

Pence would make an exceptional opening act for a cadaver.

Shorter Pence: We have the freedom to endanger human life in pursuit of our crusade for fetuses.

I’d love to know who was the super spreader at the Rose Garden.

Pence looked uptight and constipated. His eyes were blood shot and halloween spooky. I think that Mother Karen had shoved some of her larger concrete ben wa balls into him with jeezes’ blessings for good luck.

The party of personal responsibility reductio ad absurdum. An element of personal responsibility is social responsibility. If only a few people observe traffic laws, what’s the point of having any? Well, that’s how your average adult thinks.

Historically, Vice Presidential debates have made almost no difference in an election. This debate almost certainly won’t be an exception to that. If anyone says even a word about this debate after tomorrow, it will probably be about the fly that landed on Pence and nothing more.

I give that moderator (who was as useless as Wallace) about a 50/50 chance of catching covid from Pence or Pence’s maskless wife.

Too big for a fly. I’m pretty sure it was a Stink Bug.

Harris missed the opportunity to make an obvious point, which is that this outbreak shows that some people simply can’t be trusted to do the right thing, and the problem is that it’s not just them who suffer the consequences, but innocent people like the White House staff.

The fly landed on him, so…

Nope, definitely a fly. Most likely a flesh fly (Sarcophagidae).

I’m not going to say their name but their initials are Donald J. Trump.

I think Kamala could have gone harder at Trump personally, for mocking Biden’s mask usage during the previous debate, and then contracting COVID himself. (And spreading it to who knows how many people.)

Perhaps she refrained from doing so to avoid the appearance of hitting a man who is still sick with the disease, but damn, that would have been satisfying.

Psycho robot dispassionatly coldly dispensing outright lies …

Freedom? Who on earth wants the freedom to die?

Q-tip, right now the huddled masses are not yearning to breathe free under your incompetence.

They’re just yearning to breathe.

Oh, I don’t know. I remember in '12 when Obama was rusty and blew the first debate against Romney but then Joe came out a week later and made Ryan look like the callow youth he is.

If it proved anything, it proved you could count on Joe when the chips were down.

It gave Obama some breathing room and was hailed as a great performance. Ryan couldn’t open his cakehole without Joe laughing at what came out of it.

Then Barack got up off the mat and metaphorically put Romney in the Sleeper for the win.
