Just pointing out another instance of the use of “doubled down” by reporters on this site. TPM is apparently doubling down on the “doubled down” these days. Please remove this phrase from the TPM Style Manual. It’s for undergraduates.
Wow, just reading about this for the first time here. So instead of flinging mud she flings a tampon, or is saying that lowering myself to her standard. Sick, sick and pathetic.
This. This is almost certainly projection on Tomi’s part.
Of course, if somebody said this to Tomi, she’d scream bloody murder and accuse them of horrible sexism … in between rants about the scourge of political correctness and feminism run amok.
I don’t criticize the choice to include something here too much. It would have to be pretty bad to be as bad as, say, those clickbait ads for some compelling story about the waitress and the crusty old man or the park ranger and the drowning bear cub or whatever where you realize you’re going to have to click or scroll through twenty pages of puffed-out filler to get to the heartwarming payoff. That’s just exploitative. This, meh, if you’re not interested don’t click.
I clicked on one of those heart warming animals with photographers the other day. They never end and don’t think I’ll do that again even though there were some fabulous photos, lots of foxes being foxy.
No, it goes on and on with all this extraneous detail and commentary, like the people you know who tell a story that way and within three minutes you want to strangle them.
Being a Fox News contributor makes it a bit difficult for you to take the moral high ground in any argument. You don’t like what Lahren said about women? What about what nearly every other Fox host says about women, minorities, immigrants, etc.? Honestly, just working for Fox “weakens [your] gender,” Britt. If you want to take a stand, quit. Otherwise, you built this.
