It’s not often that Fox News hosts clash with the President or among each other, but Trump’s strike on Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani seems to have spurred an exception.
"As news broke of the strike on Soleimani on Thursday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson railed against the President’s decision, which he believes means that the U.S. is “lumbering towards a new Middle East war.”
“There’s been virtually no debate or even discussion about this, but America appears to be lumbering towards a new Middle East war. We have to say, it’s one that officials in Washington wanted for decades,” Carlson said. “Disgraced National Security Adviser John Bolton has made it his life’s mission to start a war with Iran and Bolton might be getting his wish.”"
Ah, there we are again…
“Carlson then pivoted to arguing that the “invasion of America from the south” is being ignored by people calling for war with Iran.”
Carlson initially supported the Iraq invasion but fairly soon came to see it as a debacle. And I guess he sees another one shaping up and doesn’t mind saying so.
While it’s vaguely entertaining I see no reason why Faux News ‘analysis’ is of any real interest. Are there any quality middle east analysts to hear from?
With the assassination and the following taunting, Trump made it personal, he and his family will be well advised to keep a low profile for like the rest of their lives. Soleimani had a lot of fans that will want to take revenge.
I find it interesting that this is mostly being discussed in terms of shockwaves as a result of Soleimani’s death. But, in terms of Iraq, al Muhandis’s death will have shockwaves too, and throw even more gasoline on the fire. Iraq is going to ignite.
Whoa we’re killing people now based on what those folks say? We know they’re all in a conspiracy against Trump, which is why he has to get his intelligence from Putin and Giuliani now.
How can we be sure that this assassination has “stopped the next attack”? I keep hearing that, and it just doesn’t makes sense. If US intel knew of a pending attack, then surely Soleimani had shared info with others. Unless the attack was a deep, dark secret, and Soleimani was the only one who could possibly do it, then the attack is still a possibility. It’s absurd to pretend otherwise.
