Fox Host Presses Conway On Migrant Detention Center ‘Disaster’

KellyAnne Conway bears a striking resemblance to Norman Bates’ mother…

If we step back from the issue of immigrant detention and look at what KAC or other members of the WH staff do in these interviews is that they not only not answer questions they don’t even try to sell the policy position. They don’t discuss what Congress is doing or how they would like Congress to craft a piece of legislation that would cover, tighten up, do away with X,Y, and Z.

This uneven treatment of detainees at certain centers reminds me of the FEMA responses during the past hurricanes. Then there’s the mixed messaging about resources and supplies.

And just an observation is Pence blanched would anyone be able to tell?

“Oh yes, so let me explain to you: I want people treated humanely,” Conway said.

Translation for humans: People = Republicans

And rabid bats: Don’t forget the bats!

And frozen Yak vomit, and incendiary grenades, and, and …

ETA: It’s funny – well, not really – but people like Kellyanne can make you despair for the human race, really.

What is this, the menu for the next White House Sports Team dinner?

Trump and his spokespeople need to be reminded that seeking asylum in the US is not illegal. I’ve seen a few interviews where that fact is glossed over.

Kellyanne Conway: “They’re also completely ignoring the briefings we received from the brave Customs and Border Protection folks.”

What was the point of throwing in the “brave”? No one is disputing that they are brave, but why say it? It seems like a non sequitur. It also is reminiscent of those bumper stickers “Support Our Troops,” which is an imperative. Not “I support our troops” but “I’m telling you to support our troops.”

They have had plenty of time to come up with some explanation and this is the best they have? If even Wallace is on this you know they are in deep trouble and have no idea how to mitigate the damage.

He was dangerously close to committing an act of journalism. You can be sure his boss told him to cut that out.

Indeed. It is well nigh impossible to find a more apt description of Conway. She is the very embodiment of the phrase.

A “brave” action indeed.

This issue is rattling the administration and the GOP from within. They’re trying to hide and lie about the problem. They’re not quite willing to go where Graham did with ‘I don’t care’ (Graham’s political instincts are often wrong, not always, but often). Keep pressing and you’ll see them break.

Given the absence of any lefthanders in Trump’s bullpen, his team’s strategy is always consistent.

Make that 51 changes that Trump will have to make before the USNWT visits the White House. 52 if one adds that Trump himself need not attend the “dinner.”

Use of sexist terms and slang, references to sex acts, and comments on sexual attractiveness to refer women, regardless of party affiliation, is wrong. Always wrong.

It is demeaning, dehumanizing, and degrading to all women, and is just as vile and unacceptable as using racist and homophobic slang.

Call it out.
