As news of a mass shooting at a San Jose, California rail yard broke on Wednesday morning, leaving at least eight people dead, retired NYPD detective Pat Brosnan took to Fox News to suggest that the country’s gun violence epidemic will worsen as more Americans get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Mr. Brosnan appears to have taken a few too many sharp blows to the head.
Or else he’s just a really stupid wingnut.
Or maybe both.
Let’s see…hundreds of millions of guns don’t cause mass shootings, but hundreds of millions of vaccines in arms do. I’m just not seeing the link here, maybe I need to watch more Fox News before it becomes clear how all the guns out there aren’t causing mass shootings…

However, Fox News needs a grievance.

Sure… a guy that intends to shoot himself at the end, but waited until he got vaccinated because he was afraid of Covid. The deductive reasoning of this guy Brosnan is on par with Sherlock Holmes… that is why I insist that cops should be drafted, that way we don’t get a concentration of blockheads like this guy.

The RW is off the wall crazy at this point. Can you imagine if it were people of color doing all this? Woman drove her car through a vaccination site, luckily didn’t hurt anyone, not for lack of trying.

This is true in the sense that vaccinations are allowing life to return to normal again, and “normal” in America means an astronomical amount of gun violence. I suppose his “solution” is we allow the pandemic to run wild so we’re all stuck at home. What an idiot.
I prefer to think of it as road happiness.
If all of the stupid idiots who cut people off, can’t use turn signals, drive slow in the passing lane and the like were removed from the roads, we’d have a much happier place to live in.
Granted, his corrective training methods are a little extreme, but I’ll bet she’ll be thinking twice before pulling that shit again.
I’m sure the retired detective will support the confiscation of all guns owned by vaccinated people. It’s the only way to be safe, right?
ETA - Maybe there should be a review of the trials where this detective testified. Does he have similar concerns with polio vaccines, etc?
