The University of Virginia’s Board of Visitor has voted unanimously to reinstate Teresa Sullivan to her former post as president, caving to weeks of protests following her abrupt firing. Sullivan was fired three weeks ago in what the AP calls a “secretive move that infuriated students and faculty.” Addressing the board, Sullivan, the university’s first female president, said, “I want to partner with you in bringing about what’s best for the university.”
