I don’t know the details. There was a postal union rep being interviewed and she said the people who were brought in to remove machines were paid overtime and this was at a time when other employees were not. You could be right but I’m not sure they were going out of their way to hide it.

When BLOTUS IMPOTUS asks foreign powers for assistance with his election, that un-American act demonstrates that he will do anything to retain power, and the GOP has repeatedly demonstrated that they are all for vote suppression and gerrymandering to obtain/retain power at any cost.

There need to be some civil suits brought against DeJoy personally. Likely many were harmed because of his unprecedented actions. Think of all the meds that are transported USPS for example.
This f^ck has approx $30M invested in companies that compete with the Postal Service. He needs to be parted from a majority of his wealth. Fool might be able to do shady business in his circles. US Mail is a public trust and a constitutionally mandated service he’s trying to dismantle.

Not sure that’s the case.
In an article I’d read (dated 08/10/20) on a government employment-related news website, the promotions came from within the USPS. With comments from longtime current and former postal service execs saying this is what occurs when a new PMG takes over.
Believe it’s more changes to operations and a bullshit focus on streamlining (in aiding and abetting Trump) than a loss of experience which will hinder the Postal Service.
Releasing the $25B USPS loan-- to do everything needed in advance of the GE-- is the first, best step toward clearing the playing field of debris and guaranteeing good service.

DeJoy caved big-time today, agreeing to cease making any more changes to the Post Office before the election.
Pelosi tweeted this in response to the DeJoy news: “Nice try, Postmaster General DeJoy, but the House will still be passing our bill to ensure the delivery of the mail through the election. We will deliver for America by voting on Saturday.”

I think parts of that statement will come back to haunt DeJoy, especially when we get to the point where there’s sworn testimony about when overtime is approved and when it isn’t.

When you think about it a little and consider the the Postal Service employs about 1/2 million people across 50 states, there’s an accumulated negative effect in many areas of American life if it were to be completely disbanded.
Imagine it all. More people unemployed. Emotional and mental instability. Fewer services. Families unable to maintain mortgages. The list goes on.
After 2008 and now C19 things are not good for your average person to begin with. The Post Office needs to continue without political interference.
