Former ATF Director Resigns From DOJ After Fast And Furious Report | Talking Points Memo

Former Acting Director of ATF Ken Melson has resigned from a position he took at the Justice Department last year following the release of an Inspector General report on ATF’s Fast and Furious operation. Additionally, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jason Weinstein — who served as a career federal prosecutor for several years before being appointed to a politically appointed position — resigned from DOJ but disputted the accusations against him in the IG report.
