FL Sheriff Orders Masks Ban For Deputies

Willful Negligence.

OSHA General Duty Clause, Section 29 CFR 1910 5(a)(1) and the PPE standard for pathogens 29 CFR 1910 Subpart 1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

All the following elements are necessary for OSHA to prove a general duty clause violation:

  1. The employer fails to keep the workplace free of a hazard to which its employees were exposed.
  2. The hazard was recognized.
  3. The hazard was causing, or was likely to cause, death or serious physical harm.
  4. There was a feasible and useful method to correct the hazard.

The article doesn’t state what his objection is, specifically, to wearing masks, so I have to assume it’s a political statement, otherwise why not just make it optional? This is a disgraceful abuse of his power, and I hope his deputies challenge him on it.

What about the perpetrators they pull over? How are they supposed to feel safe when the LEO is not wearing a mask, something every respectable doctor recommends?

Again this is the guy the people of Marion County elected, and he wont be doing it if he didn’t feel he had the support of the majority of people as he is for re-election in November.

So again blame the junkies, the pusher is only selling them what they want to buy, and if he doesn’t someone else will.

Now how can he order this and make it stick? This is absurd.

Go find your experts, genius, but I’ve got 165,000 people right here who are experts in being dead because this thing is mainly and very easily transmitted by sustained indoor proximity to infected people.

And it’s the number of expert opinions not the amount. Amount modifies volume, like the amount of shit you are full of, you illiterate Rambo wannabe.

It’s in the air. They are finally coming around to admitting that it stays in the air. It’s in the air in hospitals I read this morning.

I think that’s a safe assumption.

The U.S. is trying hard for the title of stupidest nation in history. No wonder we are an international pariah.

Yeah. Indoor ventilation is key.

So who is going to be the first person who causes a scene at the Sheriff’s office by insisting on wearing a mask

Yes I keep seeing pleas from experts about indoor ventilation systems and how they need to be upgraded to deal with this. Especially in schools.

I’d like to introduce this guy to Ed Gonzalez, Harris County Sheriff, who I’m sure would be happy to tell him about the deputies we’ve lost to COVID-19, despite precautions.

Why stop there? I’m sure he can find numerous “experts” who say police body armor or carrying a weapon actually leads to more violent altercations. Sheriffs in this country are becoming nothing more than county dictators for the insane.

I should have mentioned filtration too.

Yeah, mostly, although now there’s a neuroradiologist who seems to believe he has relevant knowledge, and he says young people should try to contract it. Oh, and he’s on the task force.

For someone whose job is to reinforce some pretty big aspects of our collective social contract –he does not seem to care so much for such a thing.

But here’s the reality about the aftermath of this whole mess. Assholes like this (presumably elected miscreant) will turn on a time at warp speed when Biden becomes president. And many in the media will completely ignore the incongruency.

If Biden wins, and inherits a still-raging pandemic, there will be a COVID death counter on Fox News by February, and McCarthy and McConnell will begin every news conference by shouting “where is the vaccine and where are the jobs?”

Billy Woods later amended his order and said white hoods are allowed.
