all you need to do is go to AMAZON and look at the prices on imported stuff…or any dept. store…i have 3 pairs of lauren jeans..i’v had them for about 3-4 years..paid about $80 for them.. the same jeans now cost $140…i expect the price to go up some, over time., the current ones are made in MALAYASIA..my older ones were made in the same country…fyi.i buy these jeans because they always fit same size .year after year.

My impression was that many importers preordered a lot of inventory (juicing early quarters’ sales) and ate at least some of the tariffs on those earlier sales (likely in the hopes of another TACO moment, where the tariffs would go away).
But ultimately, they can’t/won’t eat it forever. In the short run, there may be some flexibility; in the long run, nope.

I thought the same thing; and it usually involves extreme bravery that saved comrades, and as you note, it goes through a long chain of command. I actually think he was embarrassed, and it never should have been handed at him during the STOU; he was clearly a prop, and it isn’t his fault.
Trump is such a fraud.
