LACEY, Wash. (AP) — A man suspected of fatally shooting a supporter of a right-wing group in Portland, Oregon, last week after a caravan of Donald Trump backers rode through downtown was killed Thursday as investigators moved in to arrest him, the U.S. Marshals Service said Friday.
OK this is a little unfair since I don’t really know what happened (but I am beyond giving these people much benefit of a doubt), but somehow I bet if this suspect had been a right wing militia guy in cosplay camo, a military assault rifle in each hand, and a long social media trail of MAGA, boogaloo, racism, and anti-Semitism, this crew would have found a way to bring him in alive. (Though since I still deal in objective fact, I’m willing to be convinced otherwise.)
How convenient.

Since the shooting, Reinoehl said he’s gone into hiding, and moved his children to a safe place after shots were fired into his house just hours after the incident. “They’re out hunting me,” he said. “There’s nightly posts of the hunt and where they’re going to be hunting. They made a post saying the deer are going to feel lucky this year because it’s open season on Michael right now.”
He had not turned himself in, he said, because he believed right-wing protesters were collaborating with police, who will not protect him or his family.

and had been shot at one protest and cited for having a gun at another.
Why was this nut out walking the streets?
So watch the investigation wind down now that a convenient suspect is dead. (For all I know he might have done it, but i doubt anyone will ever know, and another killer might well be out there because this is a useful narrative for the feds.)
In attempting to take the Antifa suspect into custody, he was shot 427 times.
And then tased…
At best, this was a totally botched operation. At worst, it was a totally successful execution.

Nothing excuses what he did, but I implore you to watch what went down in Portland up close and not feel like you need to get involved.

It really would have been better for him to have surrendered and let “justice” take its course.
Now two people are dead and the reason for the protest is no longer on the front page… where it belongs.
It would have been better for him to have left the firearms in a gun safe and use a camera when his buddies were threatened instead.
It would have been better still for the Patriot Prayer gang to remain in Clackamas.
My main question is how many boogaloo/right wingers are carrying loaded weapons in public places that havent been arrested?
I smell police execution. They couldn’t let him justify the shooting or publicize the white supremacist violence.

So a neo-nazi gets killed and they send in the US Marshals to catch the suspect? Aren’t homicides normally handled by the state and local police? Who arrested that 17 Y.O. punk in Wisconsin?
FBI and US Marshals, so probably not.
On the one hand, I really want to believe this one was legit. If the FBI and Marshals are so far gone as to be an executioner’s squad, we are even more royally fucked than I’m ready to handle.
