He’s like Captain Smith, only senile and high on adderall.
Congress is in recess til early September. Moscow Mitch is in KY but he’s not safe there.

President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has downplayed the rising level of white nationalism in the country, saying he “doesn’t really” think it’s a threat.
Sounds like his response to Russian election interference.
Not that either is credible.
Still, can’t be long 'til he’s asking people who bring it up, “Do you believe that?”
I read this yesterday, scared the bejeebers out of me.
Neither is this movement newly anti-immigrant, despite the current politics that have inflamed anti-immigrant fervor. White power activists have been mapping white homelands and attempting migrations to and defense of those spaces for decades.
What is new here is the widespread effectiveness of these actions, the technologies of killing that increase the body count and the frequency of mass violence.
It is not enough to dismiss mass shootings as horror beyond our comprehension. It is our duty to understand their meaning and confront the movement that relies upon them.
Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas?
From Josh’s most recent editorial:
…the President’s own reelection campaign functions as a sort of white nationalist hate group and is a path to or accelerant toward radicalization for significant numbers of people.
How many times has the bold phrase been used to describe Qaeda, ISIS or what nots ‘radical Islamic extremist’ web sites or speeches?
It wasn’t a poor word choice (ed.): it’s an accurate analogy.
Conclusion: Trump’s incendiary language and incitement are exponential.

If they were doing their fucking jobs, the 25th would’ve been invoked long LONG ago.
Wasn’t the purpose of the EC to prevent the installation of a clearly incompetent and dangerous President?
Time to toss that shit. It failed its purpose.
How about “Pendejo”?
Too obvious. It’s supposed to be code, remember.
If it bleeds it leads…

Wow this is a plot twist. First reporting on this massacre said that the sister and her boyfriend were found shot to death in their car and then the maniac started firing into the crowd. I assumed it was the initial gun shots into his sister and boyfriend that alerted the police and got them into the street in order to take down the shooter within 30 seconds.
The sister along with a lot of other people were in a cafe when he started firing.
This is not the link I went looking for but it is another interesting aspect to the shooting, if true. It’s from the New York Post.
"The Dayton mass shooting gunman drove to the scene of the carnage with his sister — then made her one of the nine victims killed in the slaughter, officials revealed Sunday.
Megan Betts, 22, was shot dead when her brother, 24-year-old Connor Betts, opened fire on a crowded street in the Ohio city lined with bars and restaurants around 1 a.m., officials said in a press briefing.
But before the sororicide, the siblings and a mutual acquaintance drove together to the hopping nightlife district in Betts’ father’s 2007 Toyota Corolla, officials told reporters, piecing together what they had learned in the hours since the bloodshed.
Sometime after the trio arrived, Connor Betts split up from the other two, investigators said — during which time he grabbed his AR-15-style rifle, crept through an alley towards the row of revelers and opened fire.
Firing the rifle, equipped with a double-drum magazine with a 100-round capacity, Betts gunned down the first of his victims near a tattoo parlor, then moved across the street towards Ned Peppers Bar, officials said.
Responding cops, including at least two armed with long guns, fatally shot Betts within 30 seconds of his first shot, officials said — but that was all the time he need to kill nine people and wound 27 more.
Megan Betts was among the dead, and the siblings’ companion was wounded, according to authorities."
First reports on anything almost always have errors.
Yeah, one of those groups goes by the initials G.O.P.
I spoke to a staff member in one of his Kentucky offices. And the DC office had a message saying that due to a high number of calls I could not get through. He has many district offices, perhaps more than Feinstein and Harris have in a much larger state.
