FBI Paid $2.1 Million Reward For ‘Whitey’ Tipsters | Talking Points Memo

The FBI paid a $2.1 million reward for information that led them to fugitive gangster James “Whitey” Bulger and his girlfriend Catherine Greig, the Boston Globe reported. $2 million of the reward was for Bulger, while $100,000 was for Greig.“As of Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, the FBI has paid this reward money to more than one individual,” the bureau said in a statement.
