Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday denied consenting to being featured in a new advertisement from the Trump campaign touting the President’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as the country suffers from more than 210,000 fatalities from the infectious disease.

Fauci, like most public officials, fancies himself capable of handling slicksters.

Go rogue. Go big. Make your own ads. No need to endorse Biden … Just endorse science and facts and keeping it real. Same thing.
All of these CDC officials who appear against their better judgement to stand with Trump should wear masks that say ‘Trump forced me to be here’
Or better yet, “I’m being held captive. Call 911.”
Is a judge’s ‘cease and desist order’ possible?
In a statement given to CNN, Fauci cited how he has never publicly endorsed any political candidate during his nearly five decades of public service, before accusing the Trump campaign of taking his past remarks out of text without his permission.
“The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials,” Fauci said in a statement to CNN.
You have no idea how much I and many others value your integrity and honesty.
And there is this.
I wish he would resign publically and endorse Biden.
Some relatively independent group should make an ad with all of the people whose names or work Trump has ripped off and have them make an ad saying “Yes, he ripped us off, and he’s doing the same thing to you.”
Dr. Fauci probably can’t be part of it, but how many artists have asked him to cease and desist? I can’t keep track.
What, Dr. Scarf was unavailable for her glowing accolades?
What is the point of this? They’ve spent the entire COVID emergency undermining Fauci in various ways and media, and now they want him to appear in their ad?! Hello? Does this make any sense?

He’s a career civil servant. IANAL but I don’t think that blocks his right to sue for misrepresentation by a political party. After all, it affects his reputation and status in the healthcare profession.
