Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) found himself in a heated exchange with Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate Health Committee hearing on Wednesday, as the nation’s leading expert on infectious diseases was pressed on COVID-19 restrictions in the country.

JFC, Paul is supposed to be a doctor - he should be one of the sane voices on the GOP side. But of course, he is just another lame brain like Scott Atlas, trying to make the letters after his name into a certificate of expertise that he does not possess.
Having worked side by side with physicians all of my life, I am always surprised that the general public has no idea that a large percentage of them are not very bright. Like a physician friend of mine likes to say, “Somebody has to be last in medical school.”

Paul has really gotten worse since Trump, if that’s possible of course. But it does seem to me he has. Good for Fauci. Slap this pea brain back into his place.
I watched the exchange with glee. Rand spent all week writing his speech and Fauci was having none of it. They’ve clashed before and it was pretty clear when Paul finished he really thought it was his mic-drop moment. Not so fast, Rand, the good Dr. Fauci gets to weigh in and school your ass. I’d pay money to hear what Fauci had to say to his deputy.

Paul is simpler to understand and there’s is lil or no guilt from his base.

I’m not going to address Sweden’s policy, because ‘reasons’.
