Our Gov. has suspended visits to prisons, but will give inmates two free calls a week to loved ones and is allowing some controlled social media time for the foreseeable future.

Of course it will get worse before it get better because there’s been so little testing. The modeling that’s been done is a joke, with a large confidence interval because the underlying dynamics of transmission aren’t known and thing like phylogenetic testing can be misinterpreted as it was in Germany. The epidemic probably is going to vary across the country.

i heard on NPR that they are having prisoners in the cells sleep with heads at alternate ends of the bunks… still don’t have enough hand sanitizer for prisoners (though they have put the prisoners to work making it)… all seems a bit of a recipe for disaster.

Lovely day for Mr. Hatmama and me to go to the Seattle Puget Sound VA Hospital for one of his annual doc visits. We will be disinfecting ourselves. I picture us walking through a metal detector-type system that sprays us with bleach/lysol/whatever on our way out.
Imaging sometimes helps.
