Somewhat related miscellany.

Politifact is unique in it’s ability to “bothsides” fact-checking.

Seriously, who takes these woolly-headed dungpigeons seriously? Giving stuff haphazardly to the states and then letting them do whatever the fuck they want is not a national strategy”.

Or his strategic face-palming.

Way off topic.

Mrs. Von Holst brough home Indian food for lunch unexpectedly and I was Naan-plussed.

Yes, but it’s too early to let down our guard.

This woman must be driving in Britain. I never noticed that before.

His face-palming episodes were indeed epic. The poor man had to bite his tongue, but now is unleashed!

I’d love to hear his thoughts on the whole Birx debacle…

After Biden won the election, his transition team made plans to have every area of the East and West Wings cleaned and disinfected immediately after Trump’s departure.

And the entire contents of the private living quarters had to be burned - big bonfire on the south lawn. Something about a “pestilence.”

So when, exactly, is she leaving you and running off with the pool boy? There’s only so much the poor woman can take.

Many people are saying that was the remnants of the Strategic National Hamberder Reserve.

I don’t know about the pool boy, but there’s a couple of octogenarian Don Juans down the street with social security checks burning holes in their pockets and looking for a good time. I’m keeping an eye on them. Might have to jam their walkers.

Announced in SE Wisconsin today - 17,800 doses to be delivered to Walgreens. That’s to 178 Walgreens locations. 100 doses each. To follow the current guidelines - 65 or older, first responders, teachers.

Sigh,

So the state health dept. is doling the doses out to Walgreens?

Yeah pharmacies here are supposed to be getting shipments. I’ve tried to preregister with Walgreens, CVS, all the grocery stores and all of them tell me that there is nothing and won’t let me pre-register.

sigh indeed. I’m the last goddamn button on Jacob’s coat apparently. I’m almost 70 and I can’t get a vaccination while all around me everyone else is getting them.

DHS isn’t even certain if these are in addition to what has already been allotted.

It’s part of the first phase of the Biden administration’s Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, which aims to have “select retail pharmacies nationwide” that “will receive limited vaccine supply to vaccinate priority groups at no cost” in order “to reach some of the populations most at risk for severe illness from COVID-19.”

DHS leaders were still unaware of the amount of vaccines that would be coming to Wisconsin’s Walgreens Tuesday afternoon. DHS Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk said that she doesn’t expect vaccines delivered through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program to subtract from the state’s normal allotment from the federal government, which is already lower than hopes.

It’s mind boggling. Again, so sorry.
