Not at all. She was a normal person in a squeeze and maybe just a bit too eager to jump out on the stage. It’s my pleasant non-duty to judge her, so I won’t. Wasn’t there. But Fauci was noticeably firmer about the nonsense part, pushing back where he had to.

I try to catch Tucker Carlson when he first comes on and he gets about 5 minutes of my attention to see what lie he is spreading,Last night the lie was so big I see I wasn’t the only one who said WTF.
Came on saying" now they are trying to steal Christmas".then he preceded to show a clip of Dr Fauci warning about gatherings just as he did about Thanksgiving,then took it even farther.

This completely frees Fauci from even the appearance of being under Trump’s thumb which must make Trump apoplectic as he clings like grim death to the appearance of power. Fauci can say anything he wants and appear in any media outlet and Trump has nothing to say about it.

I’ve always said it’s a bit lazy and uninformed to say everyone in the federal government is a big featherbedding bureaucrat. I’ve met a lot of people at all levels of government in my travels, including the federal, and the ones I know are as smart as ten whips, absolute top-notch professionals, and that’s why they have the jobs they have. I’m sure there are timeservers and deadwood too. But the good ones, stand back, because they’re really good.

I’m somewhat hopeful about the Senate seats, but even if we don’t get them, I think the dynamic with Mitch may be somewhat different once he is no longer answering to a maniacal Republican president. Also, if there is anyone who can tweak the system to obtain maximum use of executive power, it’s Biden.
