The nation’s top infectious diseases expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday said that he doesn’t have much to say for President Donald Trump’s habit of tweeting nonsense about the coronavirus and undermining his expertise.
Fauci again proves he’s a smart man. He’s disregarding Trump the same way he’s been disregarding anti-vaxxers for a generation. There’s no point in considering anything Trump would write because it’s all nonsense.
Good man - keep your blood pressure down.
Late Monday, the President retweeted a post that falsely stated that there was a cure for the coronavirus.
“Covid has cure. America wake up,” the tweet which has since been deleted by Twitter read.

Unfortunately, there is NO CURE for stupidity or mendacity!
Nobody should read them, unfortunately the media breathlessly reports all of the drivel that he spews so there is no avoiding it unless you disconnect from the world.

How street smart is Fauci? He obviously knows the nation trusts him and doesn’t trust Trump on handling the virus. So he’s not only technically unfirable, he’s really untouchable in any serious way. They can snipe at him, but he doesn’t care; he’s Anthony Fauci and he’s one of the best at what he does in crises like this and he knows it.
And Dr. Fauci secretly knows that nothing drives Fat Nixon crazier than being IGNORED.

Dr Fauci doesn’tweeter. Neither do I. He is a scientist and so was I in my career (I am retired but still a science truster) We have somethings in common and I think that is way cool.

There is no way trump can “out pitch” Dr Fauci on a baseball diamond or at a lectern giving covid data.
There’s only 2 ways to deal with Trump, ignore or ridicule, both drive him nuts.

I am trying to imagine trump throwing the ceremonial pitch in a totally empty stadium, the optics are just too grand to absorb right off.

With Trump the more you ignore him, the more he tries to get your attention, and the stupider he looks.
He’s keeping his credibility intact for the day when the real effort starts and he’s back at that lectern telling the nation what’s going to happen and what we have to do. If we do it right we could turn the corner on this thing in a month.
If you ridicule him it gives him the attention he wants, and then he is still driving the conversation.
And the best part is, come January, Dr. Fauci will still have a job in the federal government.
