Thatâs awful. My condolences. When I heard the story break on Saturday, it was breaking on my NYT email account I thought âWell thatâs unfortunately how too many women in red states end upâ. Maybe Planned Parenthood ought to sponsor a car. The Abortion Every Day Substack is an important but grim read regarding reproductive healthcare.

A lot of pols have tried to use the RRC as a starting point for seeking higher-level statewide positions. The commissioner positions had looked like revolving doors for a while, but it didnât work for Christi Craddick and I am hoping that French hit his level of mediocrity in Tarrant County.
I keep thinking that the nincompoops who reflexively vote GQP (because Everyone at the Country Club Votes Republican) will finally find a limit to what they are willing to endorse, but so far Iâve been disappointed. Wright might be a tool of his major oil company donors, but at least the RRC was taking some baby steps towards working on reining in over-injection and reducing the number of zombie wells.
A lot of the smaller independents have a business model based on the financial aspects - drilling enough wells to sell their interests and move on to the next venture. They really donât give a shit about sustainability on any level.

Could we please circle back to the âdeport 100 million peopleâ part? Because thatâs a third of the U.S. population and it seems like maybe people are doing that âoh, he canât be seriousâ thing that people keep doing when Nazis propose monstrously evil policies that they for fuckâs sake should not be doing.
