But… we literally did decide at the ballot box? We had an election and more people voted for one guy than the other guy but the other guy was like “no” and then tried to overthrow the government and whoops now we have to deal with this shit.

Ironically, Graham et al didn’t accept the result of the ballot box.

“This should be decided at the ballot box,” he says about an indictment arising out of efforts to undermine the very result that the ballot box produced.

Reading the indictment was like reliving a nightmare. So glad the criminal case has commenced.

Fully confident that SCOIA doesn’t have appellate jurisdiction for this one.

OK, Statesboro is not even in Fulton County, but somehow this fits. It’s an uplifting blues.

Donald, give it up.
They have you on tape and in a written letter from 2021 to Brad Raffensperger Georgia Secretary of State talking about “finding votes”. And even if you did win Georgia that still is not enough to get you elected
So you are in deep doodoo.
FYI donald… a RICO charge in GA nets 5-20 years and GA has a minimum sentence ya cannot get out of and even if pardoned by the governor you still hafta live 5 years crime free. In your case, not likely.

C’mon, he’s got every bit as much reason as OJ did to need to clear his good name and find the real killer.

I really wonder if J.Smith and F.Willis had some kind of understanding or unspoken synergy.

If J.Smith knew what F.Willis was up to, he could concentrate on other things and leave, Meadows, for ex. to take his spins with Willis and if nec. J.Smith could trim him up later.

He will prove, with geometric logic, that the mess boys stole the strawberries. Oops, wrong trial. I actually think he should be found incompetent to stand trial. He’s off his meds…

The next big deal is on 25 August, with the appearances of the indicted.

Shall we wager as to who shows up and who has to be dragged in, kicking and screaming?

And the cameras will be there, so no sneaking in the back door as has been done in the other arraignments.

Could be fun.

Fani Willis announced that she plans to try all of the defendants together.

Barbara McQuade was a guest on Morning Joe. She said it was very possible that some of the people would plead out in advance of a trial, and there could be far fewer defendants in the trial when it is held. In responding to worries about what this could do to politics going forward (republicans going after a future, or present, dem president), she said that prosecutors do not factor politics into charging decisions, and it’s much more important that it’s emphasized that no president is above the law. She said everyone kicked the can down the road with Nixon. It was a mistake to pardon him. If this isn’t handled correctly now, we will be facing even more egregious behavior by an elected official in the years to come.

Kudos to her for that assessment!
