In the interest of justice, Willis and Wade need to do the right thing and separate Wade from the case. They are far enough along that she can try the case from her office. She still has the RICO Guru on her team who is her MVP. Go get ‘em, Fani - now it’s personal.

In a way…yes. The “defendant” is a private entity with private attorneys. No public money involved. The prosecution is publicly funded and that comes with rules and standards that do not apply to the private side.

This isn’t a game where a violation is judged by the referee … so one player gets put in the penalty box or tossed from the game!
This smells like some lame attempt at “wisdom of Solomon” ruling.

Yes, and that’s how it should work. When the government comes after you in a criminal trial, the power gradient is all on the government’s side. It has the power to throw you in jail if a jury agrees, and even before then it can mess up your life in forcing you to defend yourself.
So it doesn’t matter what you do in your private life as a citizen, as long as you’re not breaking any laws. But ideally, we don’t want even a hint of impropriety for those who enforce the law. Because they have power over you.
