Family Of Pardoned Construction Exec Donated Over 200K To Trump’s Reelection Campaign

The Founders were concerned as well as preventing interference from foreign countries in American elections. As brilliant as they were they couldn’t have anticipated the kind of grifter the 20th century spawned.

Maher offered him $1 million.

Fun Fact: Toadglans didn’t take it, obviously/sadly. He did, however, sue to collect $1 million from Maher after Maher offered the money if Agent Orange could prove his mother wasn’t an orangutan; he even released his birth certificate. Cockholster failed to collect, of course. Evidently there’s something called “satire.”

Is this suggesting that Trump could be bought for only $200,000?

Shameful, if true.

Yes, you do. With a pardon, it’s like you were never convicted. With a commutation, you still have the conviction, but your punishment gets reduced.

Republicans voted bribery is fine, as long as they’re the recipients. We’re just getting started.

“With six, you get eggroll…!” (Or, in this case, a rub-'n-tug from Barr himself.)

In this Citizens United world, the US is beginning to look increasingly like Russia. One trick, now seen through four Kremlin election cycles is to ease monetary policy in the year preceding the election. There is no spurt of fixed investment or wave of innovation, just back to hum-drum the following year after United Russia wins. For many years, the independence of the Federal Reserve was a given. The monetary measures of the Great Recession came too late to save the GOP. This time around it’s different. The Fed has gone ultradovish again and could cut in June. Such policy makes no sense at the end of a mature business cycle as the Fed would enter a recession with little room to maneuver. But it makes perfect sense from a political standpoint. And there’s a poison pill, if we do see a Blue Wave. The GOP hands over an economy at very low growth or entering recession and blames Democrats for the bad times. Making the mustard for a very large shit sandwich.
