It turns out that immigrants also buy food, pay rent and taxes, attend sporting events and concerts, donate to charities, volunteer their time, etc. These are all things the people in power would realize if they weren’t blinded by bigotry. But, y’know, “low IQ animals” and such.

I didn’t. And you may not have noticed, but lots of non-Jewish people commemorate your Holocaust Remembrance Day. Bringing it up is not a clear indication that you’re Jewish.

Yes, it is. As is the persistence of the Jewish people, among whom are now my grandchildren. That persistence doesn’t always travel down righteous paths, of course, but when it does it holds a very bright candle for us all to follow. Tikkun olam.

Chris Murphy says he is not sure that American democracy will survive until the next presidential election in 2028. Dude, you are a Connecticut senator with nearly 15 years of job experience. If you want to see democracy survive, a good place to start is defunding and disbanding ICE.
Not funding paramilitary gangs can be a quick and effective way to get their members to turn on their masters. And Congress, as we all learn in 8th grade, “holds the pursestrings.”
Rent-a-thug groups insist first and foremost that the paychecks flow along with ammo and gear needed for performance cruelty.
In a recent Russia case, Prigozhin’s Wagner Group, Putin’s elite private military group, marched on Moscow in 2023 due to their dissatisfaction with corruption flows they felt belonged to them going elsewhere. Looking back further at an “unequal treaty, the ”Boxer Protocol signed by China, we see the Qing dynasty fell apart on financial and political problems that eroded military support. Even a drooling ICE thug gets it when he see the money flows to our oligarch masters taking priority over enforcer pay. Trump will gladly coup all day as long as he consolidates power, but I see no reason Congress needs to pay for it.

The U.S. analytical Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has published new estimates of losses in Russia’s war against Ukraine — and the numbers are staggering. According to CSIS, Ukraine’s total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to between 500,000 and 600,000 people killed, wounded, or missing. Of those, an estimated 100,000 to 140,000 are believed to be killed in action.
Russia’s losses are even higher: up to 1.2 million in total, including around 325,000 killed. Analysts note that these estimates broadly align with investigations by journalists and volunteer groups based on open-source data. “Since World War II, no major world power has come even close to suffering losses of this scale in any conflict,” the report says.
This killing has been instigated by one guy, Vladimir Putin, a fact the US president can’t admit. A fact even Henry Kissinger eventually came to stipulate.

What did Slovakian prime minister Robert Fico say exactly after his January 17 meeting with Trump? Did he say, Trump was “suffering from a mental defect”? Did he say he was “shocked” by Trump’s “psychological state”? Did he describe Trump’s demeanor as “dangerous”? Did he characterize Trump as being “out of his mind”? Are we finally at 25th Amendment time?
