Katrina Pierson, a Trump campaign aide in 2016 and adviser in 2020, is planning to enter the race for the U.S. Congress seat in Texas left vacant when Rep. Ron Wright (R-TX) died after contracting COVID-19 earlier this year.

Joe Biden gave the most pro-union message from a president in my lifetime. This is the kind of thing that matters to the left. Magnifying things like this will help with unity in the party and promote a positive view of workers and unions.
I’d also like to point out he did this when Amazon workers are trying to unionize even though Amazon was his #2 contributor in the primaries. Dems should be screaming hallelujah to the rafters. Instead we have another article on Trumpers gaslighting.
This sounds like a real pick up opportunity even though it won’t be easy. The article states that Trump only won the district by 3 points. A bruising primary with a crazy person who winds up coming out on top could be the kind of thing that flips it to the Dems. Plus, I suspect that over the last month or so quite a few more Texans have grown weary of GOP incompetence.
Going way out on a limb here to say I guess it depends on the district and her bringing the crazy because she’s not going to win if the ability to make a sustained, organized effort means much.

She volunteered for free as a campaign operative on Ted Cruz’ campaign. She subsidized herself by leaving her job and collecting unemployment.
The only person on Cruz’ campaign who supported her congressional run was his dad. She had already moved on to Trump when Trump placed Ted’s dad on the grassy knoll.
She was one of the women from Cruz’ circle the Enquirer said was sleeping with the candidate. She said it wasn’t true about her, but made it sound like it was for the rest of them.
