So House Speaker Casada gets two years probation and Cade gets five years for looking stupid and two years added if he wears that jacket to court.

Excellent news. And note their grievance. They opposed her policies meant to prevent the spread of a contagious and deadly disease.

Willing to blow up a bridge, maybe kill people on it, kidnap the governor of a State and why, because she’s trying to keep people from getting sick and dying from covid.

Today’s GOP. They give stupid a bad name.

Unfortunately, the Roberts court ruled the Honest Services statute (pased in 1990, if memory serves) unconstitutional.

Typical for a judicial cabal that resists instituting any ethics guidelines.

It’s really astounding how common and entrenched the GOP’s criminal mentality is within our own government, but yet…both sides do it! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Well then, both sides this, Chuck Todd!!

By setting a good example of the advantages of ratting out your partners, she might induce more baddies to cooperate. More please.

Actually, not all are. I don’t agree with any of their policies but that kind of broad brush, while good for a few likes at TPM, isn’t good for the country.

I ran for a local office once. Lost by single digit votes. The punk who beat me was a Republican tool who has since ended up in the local headlines for beating his wife, and most recently for DUI and assaulting an officer of the law when he was arrested. Reading about that incident when it happened made my day.

Sure. There are a few exceptions. And every one of them was just primaried out of existence. And anybody who still identifies as a “member of the Republican party” is culpable in their 21st century criminality.

I’m in Texas. There are thousands of people like the below:

It is no longer possible to identify as “Republican” unless or until the person is actively working to unseat GOP criminals. I ain’t both-sidesing this one, sorry.
