Walker could turn out to be the guy who killed those Idaho students, a cannibal and a transvestite gay porn star, and they’d still vote for him so long as he kept singing Trump’s praises and promised to own the libs. Those people are motivated by revenge fantasies, fear of others and hatred, period, and they don’t care who leads them so long as they say all the right things.

Oh, this is a walk in the park. Hershel had a 10% deficit in votes compared with the rest of the republicans on the ticket in the general election. There’s a chunk of republicans who won’t even bother showing up when he’s the only name on the ticket. Warnock’s going to be projected as the winner about a nanosecond after the polls close.

Just celebrating is now a death sentence in Iran.

A man is reported to have been killed by security forces in northern Iran during public celebrations by anti-government protesters following the national football team’s defeat against the United States on Tuesday.
Norway-based rights group Iran Human Rights (IHR) said Mehran Samak was shot in the head by security personnel when he was out celebrating in Bandar Anzali Tuesday night. IHR said they confirmed the information through “several independent sources.”

And no, I’m not saying that the US is as bad as Iran, of course. But parts of it are, in many ways, and there are people trying to make all of it that way. We have our own mullahs and murderous “security forces” here.

"Here’s a rundown of the other allegations the former football star turned politician has stacked up against him:
- Cindy Grossman — Walker’s ex-wife — has long claimed Walker was abusive and threatened to kill her while they were married, and has alleged Walker held a razor to her throat and, in a separate instance, a gun to her temple.
- A friend of Walker’s ex-wife claimed Walker threatened and stalked her in Texas in 2002. A police report obtained by CNN showed the woman told the police that the former Georgia Bulldog had been following her, and had previously made “threats to her” and had “her house watched.”
- Another police report obtained by the Associated Press revealed police in Irving, Texas had to confiscate Walker’s handgun after his therapist called 911 for his “volatile” behavior, scaring his ex-wife Grossman, and mentioning “having a shootout” with police.
- An ex-girlfriend told police in 2012 that Walker threatened to kill her after she tried to break up with him, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The allegations detailed that Walker threatened to “blow her head off” and then kill himself.
- Another ex-girlfriend alleged Walker paid her $700 for an abortion in 2009, according to the Daily Beast. To support her claims the unidentified woman shared a $575 receipt from the abortion clinic, a “get well” card from Walker, and a bank deposit receipt that included an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker.
- One of Walker’s sons, a popular conservative social media star Christian Walker, came forward in a video he posted on Twitter, saying Walker committed “atrocities” against his mom. He also alleged he has been an absent father to his four children.
- In October, a second woman, identified as Jane Doe and represented by big time attorney Gloria Allred, accused Walker of pressuring her to get an abortion and giving her cash to pay for it. “[Walker] was very clear that he did not want me to have the child,” Doe said in an interview with ABC News. “And he said that because of his wife’s family and powerful people around him that I would not be safe and that the child would not be safe.”"

Exactly the sort of person the GOP would want in the Senate. Danger lurks in this guy. He would be a threat to people around him in the Capitol. He could easily lose his temper in floor debate and beat the snot out of another senator. This is aside from his garbled way of speaking and his beyond far right statements. Herschel should be in therapy in an institution (not the senate) as he has serious mental disorders.

Well stated. As much as I doubt that todays allegations of abusive behavior will be more damaging than all the ways we already knew Walker was unfit for public office, I think it’s important not to brush aside that the behavior described by his ex is abuse, it is disqualifying and she is brave for coming forward and telling us about it, knowing that many people will blame her for putting up with his abuse.
