Ex-Fighter Pilot Amy McGrath Launches Dem Challenge To Mitch McConnell

Speaking as another native: A fools errand. A Dem will not unseat Mitch … but a UK “super fan” could easily, Mitch being a hated “UofL fan”. It’s super dumb, but it’s also that simple. I dislike the guys style and systematic Fox news style hate for anything Louisville … but Matt Jones (UK super fan, Kentucky Sports Network inventor / radio host, moderately progressive Dem) could crush Mitch IMHO.

Soon as I heard I checked in and gave her some money. You should too, if you haven’t.

$25 now and $6 monthly.

My daughter goes to Louisville and we talked this weekend about her registering to vote in Kentucky.

Thank you! Every buck counts. Next month, I’ll chip in some more, and so on.

Yes~!! Double whammy – $$ and a new register. Can’t beat that. :o)

The disclaimers with the idea that “Mitch-cannot-be-beat” are couching their logic with (correctly) stating the objective realities of Kentucky.

Study those realities and order your strategy and tactics based on them.

One glaring reality of GOP voters is this phrase (said to Democrats and “libs”):

“What makes YOU think that you are better than me?”

McGrath will easily fall to Mitch just like the long list of others before her … the Dems need a University of Kentucky sports “super fan” to beat the Louisvillian / UofL sports fan “Mitch”. Come up with that person, roll with that “fan” narrative and he’s done. No Dem will beat Mitch with politics … they have to beat him with something rural Kentuckians really care about, much more than politics … their beloved “Cayuts”. Simple as that.

Tubby Smith…is he a viable resource?

Just so new readers are coming in to comment, I’ll re-post her web site. Many of us have donated. Please, send whatever you can afford.

As of Nov 2018, there are 3.4M registered voters in Kentucky:
49.6% = Democrats
41.7% = Republicans
8.7% = Others

This is the senate race, no gerrymandering here and
Democrats you have more people than the Rs to out vote McConnell…
So GO OUT and VOTE OUT McConnell®

Dear Ds and Is,
Together you have the majority over the Rs in Kentucky.
So go out and VOTE OUT the Rs/McConnell.
#VOTEBLUE = McGrath

Uh … he’s black and disliked by Kentucky fans for “mediocre performance” … does not compute.

What massive percentage of KY voters registered Dem have not voted for a Dem in recent memory (and likely never will) but are too lazy to change their registration because it doesn’t matter to them?

I would wager it’s way more than 8% of that 49.6%.

She’s a progressive? In Kentucky? Ha, good luck with that.

Has he ever been a Scout leader or coach games?

Also: How do you know it’s not true? I certainly don’t, and I think it’s worth discussing and looking into. To do otherwise would be wrong. Right?

…from her coal-fired fighter jet.

Other people have noticed how the labels of “radical liberals” are meant to be derogatory toward progressives. Well, i’d much rather be a patriotic and radical liberal than an un-American Republican.

Radical liberals want to restore and expand the American Dream. Republicans want to end that dream, altogether.

That’s just dumb enough to work. Certainly, Democrats have run the experiment of running decent, meritorious candidates against him enough times to at least question the premise.
