Ex-DHS Official Warns He Is Just ‘Opening Salvo’ In Trump Alumn Crusade Against POTUS | Talking Points Memo

Former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor publicly warned President Donald Trump on Tuesday that he is just the “opening salvo” of former administration officials who will be coming forward with their own testimonies in the coming weeks to ensure Trump is not re-elected in November.

Trump probably hates his hair.

“He wanted to double down and implement a deliberate policy of ripping any kid apart from their parents that showed up at the border, any kid at the border.”

If people need to know any one thing about Trump, it’s that he’s sadistic. He enjoys causing pain. If you’re not aware of that you don’t really understand the danger of giving him power. I hope everyone helping to bring him down will strive to show that.

Unfortunately, the Trump base doesn’t care what anyone says about Trump except for Trump.

Yeah, I was thinking this guy is right out of central casting for the hero in a blockbuster movie.
That’s not going to hurt.

Damn right he’s “disgruntled.” And dismayed, and disgusted, and disillusioned.

This is a very good development.

Much more than I expected by this time. Five is better than One. Twenty Five is even better.

B/t/w, I may catch some grief for this, but Kasich’s speech last night was not bad.

“…a video released Monday by Republican Voters for Trump” in 5th paragraph.
PLEASE correct this. It is Republican Voters AGAINST Trump.

We have the anti-Reagan Rule here—thou shalt not speak any good of Republicans. Strap in and good luck.

So anyway to your larger point, it looks like there’ll be a steady drumbeat of negative stuff about Trump right on through. He’s been generous with misdeeds, and people know it’s now or never. Personally I’m looking forward to when the lurid stuff comes out from Cohen’s book.

I think many of these current Republicans Against Trump will have to become Democrats because they still believe in fair elections. That is shaping up to be a critical difference between the parties nowadays.

The cult hears what it wants to hear, fuck them. It’s the “independents” that this kind of thing will influence. IMHO.

And wait until Trump loses the election, we will find out that no one in the administration ever agreed with Trump about anything and they all will have stories about how dumb Trump and his toadies were.

“The President hasn’t heard the last of us,” Taylor told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos Tuesday morning when asked if there was more to come. “In fact, me speaking out yesterday, you can think of it as an opening salvo.”

Fuck him. He’s part of the decades-long game that ended up with Trump as the result.

Just as we have found the lowest concentration camp guards accountable for their complicity in the Holocaust, so too should be these pieces of garbage who enabled Trump to get into power.

They haven’t believed in or practiced fair elections since Newt taught them how to be assholes for the win.

I guess my only concern is that most of these ex-Trump admin types aided and abetted his deranged policies for however long they served. I mean, its great they came to their senses and left. However, a short couple of weeks should have made it obvious there was no effective way to ‘resist’ from within the government, since it is hollowed out with vacancies AND filled up with sycophants.
Maybe they can ease the conscious of the few life-long GOP crowd and the independents to vote Biden-Harris. That is about it, the vast majority of the Trump base are not going anywhere…

I get flak for this but I think there’ll be plenty of people who usually vote Republican but know Trump is an incompetent crook and won’t vote for him. Hell, half my own relatives are Romney-type Republicans but talk about Trump with frank contempt. They can’t be alone in that.

I’m sorry, I meant the Republican Voters AGAINST Trump and people like Kasich, Whitman, etc.
