Ex-Cop Allegedly Held AC Repairman At Gunpoint, Convinced He Was Voter Fraud Kingpin | Talking Points Memo

And there’s the problem. It is just too easy to make money in America.

This was my reaction. WTF. How do you write so many words without clearly identifying where this happened, but even seeming to go to great lengths to keep it a secret!
I guess Harris County Texas? Houston? What police department did the cop work for?

Yup, they covered that. And they covered that he’s not filed the papers in 4 of the last 20 years that verify that nobody has stayed beyond the time limit (including him).

And they covered all of the other stuff he tried to get away with (like installing a dock a couple of years ago) that the neighbors are blocking, afraid there would be loud, drunken parties there. And apparently tried something else with making another house right next door an extension of a casino…

Also: the helipad that was okay’d for his use while in the WH is going to be de-okay’d after 20 January.

Those neighbors apparently are not impressed by the Manhattan Hillbillies moving there…

@ronbyers

(Apparently the city of Palm Beach has been somewhat lax about a number of things, which means, of course, that the mad king court jester thinks he can get away with everything…)

Police found no evidence of drag racing the night of the raid, but they arrested more than 270 people in the department store’s parking lot and those of a nearby Sonic Drive-In and James Coney Island restaurants.

Reminds me of the news story about the crash of a single-engine plane in a cemetery near College Station, TX. A search team of Texas Aggies recovered more than 200 bodies from the crash scene.

The Houston area has always had its share of right-wing crazies. When I lived there in the late '60s, there were a bunch of them occupying the land office next to my house. A lot of weaponry went in and out of that building.

Some people have gotten so caught up in a reality game, then can’t distinguish between the game and reality anymore. It’s the Qanon effect.

Posted this on another thread this morning–

This explains a lot for me–

“Does the Liberty Center endorse that?” ABC13 reporter Jessica Willey asked Jared Woodfill, the attorney for Dr. Steven Hotze, the president of the right-leaning Liberty Center.

Complete asshole. So complete, he’s north of both Dan Patrick and Ted Cruz on the scale. So detestable he stopped running for office. No one would vote for him. He is the gold-standard of intolerant fundie witchburners.

Hotze has been playing fundie games in metro Houston-- demagoguing on the fringe of religious extremism for decades.

===========

Just occurred to me-- IIRC? That raid was to try to corral street racers at a popular meeting spot-- a K-Mart parking lot. He had this massive vehicular raid staged-- and scooped up over 100 people and vehicles. Held them under arrest for hours in the lot. Unfortunately for him? About half were just shoppers. Mass civil rights violations. Oops.

Lost his 24 year HPD career.
Guess he never learned.

Not good at math, these goobers. Just $12.50 a ballot? North Carolina operatives are laughing at them.

C’mon … now you’re just making shit up.

There’s more than a hint of Mike Ehrmantraut in the way this guy operates.

Still one has to admire the way the ballot forgers are able to disguise fake ballots as air conditioner repair parts. This technology must have been years in the development.
