My understanding from reading about it yesterday is that the court’s generosity is about the only reason it was even docketed.
Its main function seemed to be comic relief. Oh, and admission of guilt.
I enjoyed John Dean’s take on this legal filing. His take: “They’re just saying stuff,” and, “it’s a PR stunt,” translates as, “he opened his pie-hole and made word sounds.” No one with serious legal knowledge observes this thing as having any merit.
#2 might turn out to be a problem, though not because it’s “incorrect.” (Just a mistake to have signed it, at all.)
They do appear to have managed to get it filed in the place they intended to get it filed, so, good for them. They can’t really be blamed if the place they filed it sends it away, eventually.
That’s worthless unless he’s got access to the Communist Chinese vote controlling thermostats and the Venezuelan software used by Dominion and Smartmatic.
And, that’s ‘allegedly used:’ I can’t even afford to defend myself in a defamation suit.
That’s the problem with lifetime appointments. People who ought to demonstrate their gratitude for your largess (in TFG’s case, ought that not be large ass???) don’t need to.
A couple of thoughts on the Dr. Oz/Fetterman thing…
I am not a doctor, but if it really was a major stroke, I sincerely doubt he would have been able to get back on the campaign trail as quickly as he did with little obvious signs of such.
I know his comms person said it, but snarky, mean comments about someone’s health issue just show what a shitty person Oz really is. When rebuked, they attempt to gaslight.
Has Oz seen his would-be electorate? Pennsy people I’ve met are generally more like Fetterman than Oz in their eating habits. (Hello - cheesesteaks and scrapple anyone?!) No one likes to be told that their stroke, or diabetes, or heart attack, etc. was their own fault. This does that in spades.
And don’t come at me. I know not all Pennsy people…
She may be have decided that, now that she’s got the job, she’s best served by washing her hands of Donnie.
I’d guess her primary loyalty is to FedSoc, anyway.
Don’t feel Dems momentum has yet crested (in the aftermath of Roe).
With J6C Hearings back on-the-air in a few weeks-- coupled with various other TFG-related public shellackings? There might not be a single bounce to be had for Rs through to November.
Changing just a nominal number of R minds? Could see a lot of backlash voting.
If 1-in 10 or 2-in-25 Republican voters stay home or vote D?
Might be some favorable surprises come November.
