The Kennedy Center was voted by Congress as the national memorial to JFK. Does Trump intend to reconstruct any other memorials: Lincoln (too woke?), Jefferson, or Washington Monument? He’s removed the history that Washington had slaves in a Philadelphia museum.
Any media report of Trump’s statements about the Kennedy Center should include the facts of the $250 million spent on the REACH expansion of the Kennedy Center. From internet sources

The “defund ICE” or “defund DHS” calls are probably not a great move. Like the defund the police calls during the height of the BLM protests. The DHS and ICE folks must be stood down, but calling to defund these organizations will be painted as “Open borders” by the right. What we want is ICE and DHS stood down, returned to law enforcement activities instead of the Tontons Macoute we have out there now. The question is not do we defund law enforcement, but can paramilitary death squads actually be “law enforcement.”

They are being charged for the church protest under an abortion-related law: the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994.
That NYT article says:
They were also charged with conspiring to “injure, oppress, threaten or intimidate any person” exercising their freedom of religion.
I don’t see any reference to “reporting while black” which is the crime for which they were actually arrested.

Any suggestion that the Democrats can defund ICE for 2026 is wishful thinking. From the WaPo this morning
The agency received $75 billion from last year’s Republican tax and spending law. (ICE would also be able to continue operating if it isn’t funded, drawing on that money.)
That was the Big Ugly Bill passed on the reconciliation procedure, meaning that Senate Democrats were powerless to filibuster against it. The BUB received no Democratic votes.
