Just saying, but the Republican party did not go anywhere that it did not want to go. Republican politicians previously just thought that they could not get away with it.

Edit to make timeline of political belief obvious.

It doesn’t matter if the guy who is guided by his religious beliefs or the current guy who still doesn’t understand that he’s not the CEO of the USA, they don’t seem to understand that the POTUS position is suppose too govern and not rule.

Of course it won’t be Vance, he’s Catholic. While Catholics may be accepted when it benefits the Evangelicals, they aren’t counted among the “true Christians” as they perceive them.

More of this please:

Ossoff: While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. So he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.

Can’t hear or read anything about Mike Huckabee without thinking of the “Large adult sons” meme. They remain “at large” to this day.

Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Evangelicals are nothing more than a satanic cabal, thoroughly steeped in malice and with all the legitimacy as the council of devils in “Paradise Lost”.

(With apologies to Satan).

I can’t think of an actual dyed-in-the-wool bible-thumper who has come close to winning the presidency. So keep beating that dead horse.

Also, yeah, have Ted Cruz run. Even his kids wouldn’t vote for him.

So far Evangelicals have avoided the decline in attendance that has impacted Chrisitians more broadly. I can’t help but think that will happen in the coming years. You can’t replace genuine healing with showbiz and have it stick long term.

I don’t see Huckabee being all that much more favorable than Vance. Maybe a bit more, but not enough to take over the cult.

I think Trump has been more a “run the gov’t like a business” figure to his followers than a pentecostal evangelical figure. And that includes the pentecostal evangelicals.
