Esper: Soleimani Caught ‘Red-Handed’ Plotting With Terrorist

There’s a word to describe Esper’s claim. Let’s see. What is it? Could it be …

BULLSHIT?!

Nature abhors a vacuum (Except for the one inside Trump’s skull).

It’s funny how Trump’s plainly stated intention to bomb cultural sites is a hypothetical, but Suleimani supposedly intending a major terrorist attack (for which no evidence has been offered) is not a hypothetical.

The administration is getting more and more like the Soviet Union, brazenly asserting the Nazi-Soviet Pact never happened, even while they shared half of Poland with the Nazis.

R Paul is on CNN blaming all this on John Bolton (even though he fired him) and tearing up the Iran agreement
“The President got bad advice.”

No, the President hired John Bolton. He didn’t get bad advice. He got John Bolton advice. He got the exact advice you get when you hire John Bolton. John Bolton gave him perfect, to use a Trump term, perfect John Bolton advice.

It just happens to be that John Bolton wants to go to war with Iran. Everyone has known that for a long darned time. Trump, the great hirer business genius, got exactly what he paid for when he hired Bolton.

There is no proof of danger of an immediate. Saying so doesn’t make it so. When Kellyanne weighs in, her disgusting word salad makes matters worse for the original liar.

One difference this time is there’s no one left with a reputation to burn. They’ve all been forced out, ran away, or had the sense never to get involved in the first place.

Powell - funny when I thought that was as bad as it got with a respected statesman selling his soul for a POTUS.

That’s now called a “normal news cycle” in Trumpland.

Iranian Military Adviser posts list of Trump properties around the world.

How will the Orange buffoon react when people get wise that they have become targets of terrorism simply by staying in his hotel.

There’s no scenario where this ends well for anyone. And Trump is 100% responsible for everything that follows.

“The fact of the matter is, Soleimani was caught red-handed on the ground in Baghdad, one terrorist leader of a terrorist organization meeting with another terrorist leader to synchronize and plan additional attacks on American forces, diplomats and facilities,” he said on CNN

.uh-huh

His explanation, while still vague, holds together better than what Secretary of State Mike Pompeo offered earlier on Tuesday.

Not necessarily

Trump was in favor of dumping the Iran nuclear agreement, an intention which he stated many times, as far ago as 2015, long before Bolton came on board. I think I loathe these goddamned slimy so-called libertarians like Paul even worse than I hate your average primitive Trump supporter. Libertarianism is their fig leaf to claim they don’t support fascism.

As Chomsky correctly said, “libertarianism is the peculiarly American form of authoritarianism.”

Trump’s property lose value overnight.

Now THAT’S some Red Handed.

Them TRUMPS…done fucked theyselves up.

OT If it was the rotund Mike Bomb-peo who led Trumpus to this assassination, it would not surprise me if Trumpus strangled him.

What does it even mean - “caught red handed”? It’s not as if they can show us the picture of a cookie jar with the label “Terrorism” in Bold Red Capital Letters.

From his first days in office, Trump has acted on the apparent belief that he could easily intimidate foreign governments — that they would quickly fold and allow themselves to be humiliated. That is, he imagined that he faced a world of Lindsey Grahams, willing to abandon all dignity at the first hint of a challenge.

Trump, however, has turned his back on everything that used to make America great. Under his leadership, we’ve become nothing more than a big, self-interested bully — a bully with delusions of grandeur, who isn’t nearly as tough as he thinks. We abruptly abandon allies like the Kurds; we honor war criminals; we slap punitive tariffs on friendly nations like Canada for no good reason. And, of course, after more than 15,000 lies, nothing our leader and his minions say can be trusted.

Since that’s Esper’s current justification for the assassination, I’m sure he’ll be happy to back it up with intelligence showing that we knew Soleimani was meeting with al-Muhandis and that it was for the purpose of plotting something against American targets. Otherwise, this imminent harm argument would seem to be something developed only in hindsight.

And once again, even in these cases, what Trump DOES causes harm to others, even people who simply stay at a hotel.
