I watched the interview and Ernst did not bash Obama today. She bashed him in 2014 and today dodged the comparison of him to Trump. Bad reporting by TPM when the first sentence of an article is demonstrably false.
Ernst is a cowardly and obsequious fraud. The things she has said and done, and not said and not done, are bad enough to remove her from office. Piling on with falsehoods is unnecessary and counterproductive.

Record this message from the senator and use it to preclude her from having any voice going forward after the next election. She has made it clear that she is not about facts and reality, but supports corruption. She is in that much fear of the President and wants her job so badly that she is no longer willing to do her job. Her time as a contributor to the solution of our problems is done. Doesn’t matter what her constituents in feel (I didn’t use the word think for an established reason), she has (or had) a job to do when she swore an oath at the start of her term. It’s for the country, not President Trump. She done.

Republicanism has been telling us up is down and right is left for so long that they no longer consider the truth as anything other than a malleable obstacle to power. They are not stupid - they are amoral and unethical and more than willing to lie to their supporters all day long every day as long as they can retain power. Until we take their power away, they will not be changing tactics anytime soon. They will, like Donnie, double down and double down again. So far, it has been successful enough (along with FOX, gerrymandering and court-packing), to keep them viable. This kind of mealy-mouthed bullshit is nothing compared to the outright buggering of elections they are prepared to do in the coming months. I can only guess what MItch and the SCOTUS 5 are plotting right now to make sure that their power will be maintained throughout an 8 year Democratic administration. Jodi Ernst showing her ass on national television is probably the least of our worries.

Since Steve King departed the scene, I was worried that Louis Gohmert might have sole and uncontested possession of the “stupidest person in Congress” title. I still think he has a tight grip on the crown, but a new contender appears to have entered the fray.

She looks awful here of course, but I feel the need to defend her a tiny bit because we have a dangerous psychopath for president who will literally withhold life-saving assistance from states with governors or congressional reps who criticize him or even fail to sufficiently kiss his rear end. She probably would anyway, but she has little choice but to act this way.
