Ernst Praises Trump COVID Response | Talking Points Memo

Ahhh…There’s nothing like a campaign to broadcast your stupidity and ignorance to the masses. Reality is anathema to the GOP. This bullshit is the gravy over their breakfast of Hannitized biscuits of the Dotard’s verbal word-vomit.

In 2014, Obama sought to reduce the spread of Ebola by, among other measures, utilizing the military to deploy both troops and medical personnel into West Africa to provide assistance and build treatment centers. Bina Venkataraman, who was the chief policy advisor to the president’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, said that there is a stark contrast in the way Trump has responded to COVID-19 compared to Obama.

“It’s hard to overstate the contrast. For one, you had a president who actually accepted and cultivated scientific advice,” Venkataraman said on Boston Public Radio Friday. “So, the fact that I was a policy advisor to a whole council of external scientists, technologists advising the president tells you something about how President Obama even structured getting advice from outsiders, being willing to accept the state of affairs.”

The only good that will come out of anything she says is it will make it very easy for her Dem opponent to put together ads. Wait until we pass 200k dead and replay her comments over and over. She must be astoundingly stupid to chain herself to Trump at this point.

I caught that interview and also previous interview Bash had with Stephen Hann FDA commisioner, the show might have well been called DODGE BALL on the 5th of July.

“Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) on Sunday bashed former President Barack Obama’s handling of Ebola, a viral disease that two people in the U.S. died from, but praised President Trump’s response to the coronavirus as cases surge in several cities.”

we know different today than we did at the beginning of the spread of the virus, and we should continually learn from those efforts and make sure we are doing the right thing by moving our nation forward

If I got this on a freshman paper I would feel sorry for the student. She seems to be trying to say “we screwed up but we are capable of adjusting”? Which is marginally better than denying the mistakes, but still is asking people to keep her crew in charge while admitting they just killed 100,000 through their incompetence.

Keep shucking that corn, Jodi, you’ll find the legendary “Golden Ear” someday!

When you are so determined to see things in the way that you want them to be - objectivity is just an annoying thing that gets in the way.
Her judgment is so grotesquely skewed that it would be impossible to believe a single word this dishonest woman has to say.

Truth. He absolutely sees this pandemic as his ultimate voter suppression. Because, you know, those people are disproportionately affected. Ironically, the virus does not distinguish between the at-risk and the stupid.

Sure Joni Ernst is an idiot. The thing speaks for itself. Ernst’s fealty after Trump’s “winnable trade war against China” ruined agriculture exports won’t help her. Then Trump’s EPA wrecked the ethanol fuel market, and Joni Ernst was “disappointed.” Well, let’s just say that ties to Trump didn’t work out so well in 2018 for ONE-TERM Congressdick Rod Blum.

Further, if the above is not reasonable enough to Fire Joni Ernst, some might not like that she has taken $3.1 million in NRA funds. Some have questioned whether Russia was the origin of those funds.

The only difference between her and a Nazi is 85 years. You should see her goose step when Trump is in town.

Totally OT, but here it is: As a kid, we would sometimes go clam digging on the Washington coast. When I was about 8, and tired of wet feet/shoes, I decided that just the thing would be to put on some bread bags. Genius! For about 3 seconds…

How do these repubs look themselves in the mirror after making statements as dumb as this one Ms. Ernst made? I do so hope she is retired from her seat in November. I’m sick of the ignorance repubs bring to our Government!!!

“We all should do our part to make sure that we are protecting others as well. So this is a virus that’s not going to go away soon,” Ernst said. “We want to make sure that we are watching this and doing everything that we can as a federal government, including the research and development of therapeutics and vaccinations to make sure that we are doing the right thing as a nation.”

Total, empty argle-bargle. The Rethugs have got nothing.
