ain’t happening.
I’d say that the $500B ask is because:
- DonOLD thinks that money is his personally
- Elon is only worth $402B
Yep. Zelensky won’t sign anything that doesn’t include security guarantees.
Also not going to just give dump 500 billion. What’s dumbass gonna put troops on the ground?
That is one of those statements that sounds great on the surface but has no basis in anything we have seen in the burning hellscape that is our current “social media”. Joe Rogan is a symptom, not the disease.
I do appreciate you saying “even in this very liberal town I live in” - I think that provides a very strong clue to the differences in the way that you and I see things. Here in Mesa, AZ, we hide our liberals in the attic when someone comes knocking at the door.

In the meantime, the US was far away. “I don’t think US soldiers are going to be coming here anytime soon,” Hrechukha predicted, surveying the white field. He added: “It’s more likely aliens from another planet will turn up.”
Zelenskyy refused to sign the agreement. He made it clear Washington had to give security guarantees before any deal could be reached on the country’s vast natural resources, about 5% of global mineral reserves. He also pointed out that the US had given $69.2bn in military aid – less than the sum Trump was now demanding – and added that other partners such as the EU, Canada and the UK might be interested in investing, too.
So, Trump guts military leadership and JAGs offices.
Prediction: This is in preparation for deploying the military to quell domestic dissent, along with most assuredly use along the southern border in Mexico. No one to say no means “No” is not the response to whatever Trump commands.
Trump is said to be extremely angry and disappointed with the pace of immigrant arrests and deportations. He likely feels ICE, DHS and cooperating local and state police departments aren’t capable of achieving the numbers he wants or has promised. So, he’ll also have the military engaged in these operations. Asserting they’re necessary with a national security justification.
Money quote: “You’re willing to risk our entire network to a 17-year-old?” one frustrated executive asked the company’s CEO in 2022. “Are you for real right now?”
Putin can probably lay a pretty good trap for the sick fuck to stumble into to get OTHER people talking, who the Russians can then spy on.
Given TSF’s demeanor wrt Putin, I would venture that Putin does indeed give him instructions.
Pro tips?
I also am not fond of conspiracies but taking the Czech connection a bit further, Ivana’s father had some connections to Czech intelligence.
There is an elephant in the room and nobody wants to acknowledge it.
This should be an op-ed somewhere; a must read for everyone. Thank you for this.
Habba is obliquely correct. Our lives will probably be governed and affected over the next four years to a far greater degree by Trump and his executive orders than by legislation passed in Congress.
I’m sure Melania is well and truly sick of her current assignment. She probably figured TSF would keel over years ago.
While I believe that may be true, I don’t give a rat’s ass about Melania’s woes.
I think that’s probably as close as you can come to making a staggeringly ignorant, total idiot with no self control into any kind of intelligence asset. As you say “Putin knows better” than to put any more adult expectations on him. But – considering his long-held kinda lust to be president that Moscow surely knew about for as long as any Americans did – the “flatter the fool” approach is sufficient for most any purpose…
As a former Zelensky diplomatic aide said on Times Radio a couple days ago, right now all that’s really going on with Putin is that Trump and Musk are, as is typical of Trump at least, “falling for the Russian love bombing” without knowing they’re just being love-bombed. They think it’s respect for their perspicacity and power.
