That was super smart of Gov. Wolf. My governor mandated that bars close at 11:00 and shutdown indoor dining. You’d honestly think he banned sex or something by the way people are acting. KY is now seeing nearly 4,000 cases a day, but the real crime is that people can’t eat indoors.

I too have had a neighbor test positive without giving it to cohabitants. Small apartment, but isolation worked to keep the other from testing positive.

I’m not that hopeful - I think many are doing “go along to get along” to keep their phony baloney jobs. That could be misplaced optimism that the officeholders have some critical thinking skills and the upcoming QAnon Congresscritter is an aberration.
There’s a part of me that thinks as good an idea as it is, it’s a bad idea. Once a few understand that such hearings can be the basis for future “red flag” hearings, we could see a surge in violent outbursts. But for fuck’s sake, we have to start somewhere. Act crazy, get treated as crazy.
OT, sorta:
My BFF and I have eaten a meal together every other week for the last 35 years, either breakfast or lunch, at each other’s houses or a local restaurant, depending on our schedules and life stages.
She is coming for lunch today. I borrowed a portable firepit from one friend, and got some firewood from another, who is clearing invasive trees from his land. We will wrap up in blankets, and eat chili kept hot in a crockpot plugged in outside, then coffee in insulated mugs (and brownies, of course). And we’ll talk.
We can do this, people. It may require as much planning as a Polar expedition, but we can see our friends safely if we try.

Are there any of these GOP state operations who “won’t wear those danged masks” which haven’t made a fool of themselves? They might be in control of most state houses now, but their “stature” has been visibly weakened and their credibility has evaporated for all future elections.
Younger voters are ROFLTAO at them. Their lack of taking personal responsibility during this pandemic has darned near killed off their older conservative base. It’s a recipe for defeat. Republicans learned their incompetence and cowardliness well bending at Trump’s knee.
